  1. I averaged 30.6mpg on a 1300mi trip last week. My ecoboost has 2200 mi. On the clock, I'm satisfied. I averaged about 75mph most of the way 2 up and loaded down.
  2. I filled up my tank yesterday on my way back from the U.P. And I had a 520mi. range! I was impressed after driving an STS V8 for the last 7 years.
  3. I've owned black cars for 45 years, still have 3 not counting my new Tuxedo Black Metallic MKZ. In the 2 weeks I've owned the MKZ I can say that it is far easier to keep looking clean than any of my other black cars. I just got back from a 600 mile drive on Sun., and hadn't washed the car since the previous Thu., and all the car needed was the California Duster, excerpt for the bugs on the front end. This car looks black, but doesn't show the dust like most traditional black cars. I'm impressed, and I can't wait to get some polish on it.
  4. Ahh, yes, unless you like Black cars, and this thread is about Black MKZ's! I like the metallic chips in my Tuxedo Black Metallic MKZ.
  5. Just drove my 14 with900 miles on her, 600 miles yesterday. 75mph most of the way loaded up with 2 onboard by the time I got to my destination I had 30.1 mpg's showing. Comming from an 05 STS V8, I'm quite impressed with the power to mileage ratio!
  6. New 14 MKZ owner here, delivered yesterday. Tux Black/Hazelnut, 101A, Moonroof(small), DRL's, 19's, FWD 2.0 Ecoboost. My first car was a 64 Comet Caliente 4Dr., Straight 6. I've been driving GM since 1968, and have been driving Caddy's for the last 20 years. I still have an STS RWD V8 which I will be selling. I never imagined I'd be driving a FWD car with a 4 cylinder motor, but I'm quite impressed so far. I tested a Cadillac ATS AWD, and AFAIC, the MKZ rides better, shifts better, and equals it in power delivery. The MKZ has some slight torque steer, but in general beats the ATS in most categories, ESP. Price.! The CTS is a nice piece but at $51K for a base AWD, forget about it. I'm really quite satisfied to be driving a FOMOCo product in light of the Govt. Take over of GM. Screw them from now on, as I'll never buy another GM car, unless its a used Vette from a private owner. Lovin my Lincoln. BTW. My late Grandfather drove Ford and Lincoln for 90 years, I'm sure he'd be happy for me now.
