  1. My Lincoln 2014 with the pictures that I posted above is a smokey quartz color and from a distance you would not know it had an invisible bra (in the pics you see above I wanted to emphasize the bra so I increased the contrast) and as far as I know nobody looks up extremely close and for all practical purposes it does what it is intended for and as an example when I go shopping say for groceries I just look at other cars as cars other then the ones which have obvious damage that you can't miss. A few yrs ago before the Lincoln, I did have a leather bra on a Honda civic and when I removed it before winter set in, the effects of the leather definitely showed up on the hood and I wanted protection for the front end and the ford dealer said they were getting away from leather bra's and going in the direction of the invisible bra, and as of now I am satisfied. Btw if you look at the first pic again below the hood would you know that part also had part of the invisible bra and as for price if you probably go to ford you will pay more for the bra, mine was done at a collision center.
  2. If You look REAL CLOSE you will NOTICE a FINE LINE, but REALLY CLOSE, invisible bra goes on hood, bumper, side panels and outside rear view mirrors I have uploaded 2 views, but did not include bumper, but it was installed and really not visible at all I might add it seems they are getting away from leather bra's, collecting dirt, etc and can mar the paint eventually when the leather bra comes off $ 235.00 Hope this helps and btw if the invisible bra needs to be removed for some reason, one has to install another invisible bra, can't use 1st one and you can wax over the bra, no problems
  3. From my recollection, I tried finding mudflaps for the Lincoln 2014 mkz, by using the Lincoln accessories and I could not find any, and the dealer that I go to has a TOP SHOP and they in turn called Ford up, and Ford assured them and I cannot remember the year, that the mudflaps for (2011, 2012,2013)? would fit the Lincoln 2014 mkz, well that was PARTLY TRUE, the REAR MUDFLAPS DID FIT, but NOT the FRONT, so the dealer took a loss, and did not charge me for the rear installation and luckily did not drill holes in the front. I came across the amazon site which indicated that RoadSport 6401 ProFit Car Splash Guard would work so I went ahead and ordered them and installed them myself and if you read some of the reviews. yes this is universal, but does not look as good as the ones made specifically for the Lincoln 2014mkz, but I don't think ford makes them for the mkz for the yr 2014. Hoped I helped you.
  4. Ford had indicated to the dealer that I go to, a certain particular year (2012,2013?) which I can not honestly remember, the mud flaps for the ford fusion would would fit on my 2014 Lincoln mkz, well they did fit the rear, but not the front and since it took over an hr, the dealer did not charge me for the rear installation and took a loss, I did a search on amazon and found a universal pair that would fit the front and I installed them myself. So what you see here is the result of that
  5. Just updated to 3.8, just follow diredtions and be patient with file 3 of 14
  6. I too was confused about DRL's and on my spec sheet with the correct vin# it shows DRL's present, but then i noticed in the forum if one goes to the lighting section and then the sub menu that person was able to turn on/turn off DRL's but i dont have that in my submenu and so i went to a lincoln dealer and they connected the car via computer thru port below the drivers side and indicated they were activated. Yesterday i called lincoln and their response was i do have the DRL's on (below the lower fender) and they come on all the time and when in the A position and they only come on when the car is in motion. This mpg was achieved on interstates averaging around 70mph and the ups and downs were not very dramatic with panoramic roof down going home but not going to destination. Bluegrass Pkwy, I-65, I-24 to Lynchburg TN for the international BBQ Festival held on Oct 25th 2014

  10. https://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/RecallsPage Every time in the past I would check out this site by entering my vin's# and the result was always no recalls for my vehicle(s) Tonight was different and this works for Lincoln as well as Ford. Check it out and somewhat similar and different then Ford Etis.
  11. REASON FOR THIS EMISSION RECALL In some of the affected vehicles, the On-board Diagnostic (OBD-II) system may be inhibited when Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P24BC is set by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). When DTC P24BC is set, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) will not illuminate to alert the driver of a potential impact to vehicle emission control systems. Looks like an emissions only recall. If you have a certain combination of two failures at the same time, you wouldn't see the check engine light. Probably a pretty rare combination, but if it doesn't meet the requirements of the law, it has to be recalled. I wouldn't expect anyone to notice anything different with the new software, since the only changes appear to be related to diagnostics if there is a problem. If you do notice a difference in anything, it's more than likely just due to the reset to default parameters that a reflash causes, not an actual change in the software. BTW, P24BC is "This DTC sets when an intermittent concern is detected with the evaporative emission (EVAP) leak detection control module pressure sensor circuits". Note that's the sensor itself, not an actual leak. So you have to have problem with the EVAP sensor, and then you have to have another emissions problem for this recall to make any difference. More From Ford Fusion Hybrid Forum The OASIS Tech Info page just says this: This PCM calibration update is part of a coordinated reflash, which will reprogram multiple powertrain-related modules. PCM = Powertrain Control Module - (Main engine control module) BECM = Battery Energy Control Module - HEV or PHEV (Mounted on the HVB. Manages the condition of the HVB to control its charging and discharging) SOBDCM = Secondary On-Board Diagnostic Control Module C (Used to determine if the vehicle is started or if torque is available)
  12. After checking Ford Etis Site , I found out that my MKZ 2014 Hybrid needed reprogramming 14E02, after service was done I drove it in the city as well as the interstate (flat land) and noticed that the Hybrid battery maintained itself long then before the update.
  13. Also installed on the MKZ 2014 Hybrid and had no navigation problems or loss of such. Gen2 - 3.7 that was on the website for a little while is for the 2013_2014 vehicles Gen2 - 3.7.11 is for the 2015 vehicles on the dealers lot. We supposedly don't have access to that. I Called Lincoln to see if I screwed up - No
  14. From the Ford Fusion Forum Hey IraF and KLH, I can confirm that V3.7.11 was available for a short period of time this morning (for eligible vehicles) on our website: www.Support. Ford.com; however, the download has been removed temporarily. The EU version of this update was released prior to this one, which may have been what you were referring to, KLH. As long as you are obtaining the update from our website, I can assure you that it is intended for your vehicle and will not cause you to lose navigation capabilities. I'll fill you in once I receive more information. Stay tuned :)
  15. I went to SyncMYRide and it told me that I had 1 vehicle to do list which was to update from Gen2 -3.62 to Gen2 -V3.7 and followed I the instructions
  16. Went to syncmyride and I had been notified that a new update was available. Read carefully before applying update. Gen2 - V3.7 Pair Phone with Sync once done.
  17. I have the 2014 mkz with package 203A and it says quite clearly in the manual that one can turn on/off DRL's and turn on/off HD lamps moving with the steering wheel, however I could not find that in the cluster switches on the left. So I took the car into the dealer and they hooked up a computer as I WAS THERE and the DRL's are enabled all the time which are the signature lamps and this is straight from technical services at Lincoln since a case number was started for me and so the information in the manual about these two on/off are wrong. My signature lamps come on no matter what position the dial is in. What also was confusing to me that you can see the DRL's turned on the Ford Fusion which I owned previously, but the MKZ 2014 is different as mentioned above. The Headlamps which move with the steering wheel are only functional when in the auto position.
