  1. Today I took it to my local tire dealer and had him check the balance. Both front wheels were perfectly balanced. I didn't bother with the rear wheels. The good thing is the vibration shows up at 45 mph and it's gone when I hit 50 mph. I will just deal with it in the short term. If it doesn't get better in a few months I'll take it in to the dealer.
  2. I just reactivated this threat. I now have the vibration problem. For me it occurs between 45 and 50 mph. I did in fact have the right front tire replaced due to an issue with a pothole. I have less than 10K on this 3.7L 2014. Looking at what has transpired here I don't hold out much hope on getting it solved.
  3. It's only an issue if you're one of the 5900 affected customers. I believe welds are usually done by robots and stuff happens.
  4. Wow! Then that could be the reason the the damage was pretty much confined to the tire.
  5. Artie, does my 2014 have the pothole mitigation CCD feature?
  6. I have 19" wheels. It came with Michelin size 245/40R19. I was making a left turn and going about 20 mph when I hit the pothold. It was very loud when I hit it and I said to my wife "wow I hope that was not too bad" about that time the low inflation warning came on.
  7. Over the weekend I hit a pothole that blew out my right front tire. I can now vouch that the low tire inflation warning works :) Without an appointment I took it to the dealer this morning because, I wanted to make sure there was no other damage. I left the car expecting an all day issue. However, about a hour later they called and said the tire was totally destroyed internally. However, other than a small chip in the wheel there was no other damage. They replaced the tire and also applied the Safety Recall in regards to the seat belts and the car was ready. Picked up the car which had been washed and went on my way. My dealer continues to be really great.
  8. I saw that blue on a Continental and it looked great. It looks great on the MKz also.
  9. I came up behind a very beautiful blue Continental. While waiting for the light to change I noticed that the "i" was missing in the Lincoln name on the rear deck. How did that happen? :(
  10. One of the best things I like about the MKz is the Hybrid and for example my 3.7L V6 looks identical. WOW 51 mpg. Not too shabby. I'm not a window tint person but it looks great on your car. Lots of luck with it. :2thumbs:
  11. We recently had quite a bit of rain in my area. This conversation caused me to check it out. Over 3 days it never failed.
  12. I received the official letter today for the Seatbelt Pretensioner Cables safety recall on my 2014 MKz. The letter states the dealers now have the parts.
  13. From me (a retired IT Professional), I don't allow any internet/remote access to my vehicle.
  14. Thanks for finding a link to the review of the 2017 Lincoln Continental. I'm sure we are all pulling for Lincoln to do well.
  15. They did a review/test drive of the Lincoln Continental on this weeks (April 15) MotorWeek on PBS. They really liked the car calling it "the best Lincoln ever". :)
  16. Wow Artie it seems like yesterday when we got the 2014's. Good luck with the 2017.
  17. The color is not for me. I'm glad that 2015mkzhybrid mentioned the wheels. Now I know I'm not the only one who doesn't like the wheels.
  18. I'm due for service in April so they should have the part by then. Good luck with the 2017.
  19. Now that you mention it I see the dealers plate is still on the rear.
  20. I received my "official" recall letter today. They will send me another letter when the parts are available.
