  1. This is the final resolution to my problem with vibration at 45-55 mph. A few times I had thought they had corrected the problem. However, after a few days it became clear that it was still there. I had made two additional visits to my dealer after my last update here. Eventually the dealer had to contact the Lincoln Mother Company for technical assistance. They had my car for about a month in that mode. During that period they changed additional parts without success. Finally they told me they needed another part. This part was on back order. I picked up my car with the promise they would let me know when the part came in. After almost month the part was received. I brought my car in and they had it for three days. When I picked up the car the problem was actually fixed. I waited about two weeks before I posted this message. The final part that really fixed it was: Part No - CV6Z-4A232-A Clutch Repair Kit
  2. I know that a warning is issued when the batteries are low. Can anyone tell me how long the key fob batteries lasts?
  3. I also received this "notice" in the mail. One link seemed to say that I was eligible. However, when I ran my VIN on the NHTSA site there are no recalls open.
  4. I always have the dealer change them when they do my annual state inspection. I do the same thing for the cabin filter.
  5. I had other work being done and car was there for 2 days. When I asked them about the HD Radio they said it was working fine. Now, I know it wasn't working a few weeks before I took it in and, when I dropped it off. Bottom line it was working fine. Hey, a Miracle happened. ? So this case is closed. BTW They changed all my lug nuts for free. I have the premium care extended warranty.
  6. I see you have upgraded the password security. My browser (Firefox) has now stopped complaining. Kudos!
  7. I dropped my car at the dealer's this morning will advise the solution.
  8. Although I still have to learn the finer features, I like what I see.
  9. HD-1 is the regular frequency 102.7. HD-2, HD-3 is a slightly different frequency. It's apparently only recognizing the regular frequency and not the offsets. Since the APIM does control this issue that's where the problem is. Now I know why they extended the warranty on the APIM. ;) Will be checking with the dealer soon.
  10. The switch for HD is illuminated. I was driving along and the station (WNEW 102.7-HD2) just disappeared. When I try to connect I get "station not available". The station is on the air I can get it in the house. I did a scan for HD stations and none were found. The regular (HD-1) station is fine. Other than this problem the Sync system seems to be working just fine.
  11. The other day while driving and listening to HD radio the station "went away". Just figured it was my location. Later determined that Sync was no longer recognizing HD Radio stations. I do know that there is an extended warranty on the APIM and I will take it to the dealer. Is this the type of problem I would experience if there was a problem with the APIM?
  12. FWIW trying to "retrofit" technology is always going to be problematic.
  13. I've never had this happen on my 2014. The weather seems to have no effect on my Z.
  14. FWIW I got my official recall notice on my 2014 MKz today. (5-4-18)
  15. There is no actual installation. The card, which I say again, contains the maps, must be inserted in order to use Navigation.
  16. Yes, the A8 SD card would give you the latest maps.
  17. I don't have vanity plates but I do have special Amateur Radio plates that is my FCC Assigned radio station call sign.
  18. Received an email from Lincoln advising me that they are discontinuing in August 2018 the Sync Vehicle Health Report for all vehicles up to 2016. Oh well............
  19. My car is really low mileage. Only 11,700 at 4 years. I change my oil once a year when I get my annual state inspection. At that time it's usually telling me to "Change Engine Oil Soon".
  20. They applied the "fix" today when I had it in for service. Another thing that I don't need to worry about. :)
  21. That looks real good. I see you're a amateur radio operator. So am I, W2JLB. Have you done anything with installing a radio in the MKz?
