Hi all, new to the forum. Sorry if this post has been solved elsewhere but in combing through google and the forum i could not find the answer i needed. i recently purchased a 2011 MKZ from carmax (loving it!). i gotta say, i got lucky with this one! but anyway, it took a few tried the day i brought the car home to sync my LG G2 to Microsoft Sync. However, somehow my phone found sync, i got the Bluetooth code from the in dash system, input the code on my phone and everything paired.
from there everything was gravy for about two weeks. out of nowhere i started having the issue where the in dash system wouldnt connect to my phone. i tried removing it from the in dash system, removing sync from my phones bluetooth, and doing the master reset to the in dash system.
now when i try and sync my phone, i go to phone, it tells me no phone so i go to search or 'ok' or w/e that option is and it brings up the screen where its supposed to give me a number. there's no number. i tried searching for devices from my phone, nothing, tried making my phone discoverable, still nothing.
next i tried the other devices option where the in dash system tells you it may take up to 30 sec for sync to recognize your device. before i did that i tried making my phone discoverable, no success, and even making it discoverable and and actively searching for devices from my phone.
i cant get sync to show up on my phone and i cant get my phone to show up on the in dash system. this is really bothering me because i have not taken the car to any dealer or shop since it was purchased so im unsure what could have caused this (assuming theres no way the system updates w/out taking it to a Lincoln dealer).
if anyone has suggestions please help!
