Got it. No dish detergent. Only used once in this car, Got leather cleaner and conditioner. Thanks. But that has nothing to do with current problem.

I forgot to mention that I cleaned it This past Sunday, that's when I noticed it. I've had leather interiors for more years than I care to remember. And I have never had any problems

I've only cleaned the interior once. Again, just soap and water, dish soap, Dawn.

I just use Dove soap to wash my hair. I do have my head against the headrest while driving. That's the most comfortable for me. This never happened in my previous cars or recliners.

Has anyone had problems with the headrest leather deteriorating? It's a 2014 MKZ hybrid with 10K miles.

That's not dirt. I wash my hair at least four times a week with soap and water and don't use any products. So

I can't figure out why this is happening. I'll see what the dealer says when I take it in for service Monday.

I just started looking for a function to automatically lock the doors when you leave transmitter range. Surprisingly there appears that there is none. Has anyone found one?

Worked perfectly for me.

Same here. The guy who drives it out to be finished thought it wasn't running and  pressed the start/stop button shutting it off. When I get a quick wash I do use the stay in neutral.

Ran into this same problem (or close to it,) at the car wash last week CW employees cleaned the inside and pulled into the wash lane, left it in neutral went thru fine, employee went to pull it out and didn't' t know it was running , tried to start it again in neutral and really confused the car. I got in and didn't se it was still in neutral so I got confused also. finally woke up and put it in park and shut it off left with the fob (about 4 feet from car,) and tried again, worked fine.

Not quite the same I guess. But was interesting.

Wow, That really is bad luck. But you can get fixed like new again.

Finally took a 300 mile trip yesterday. Got my first flower at about 700 miles on the odometer. We got a respectable 42 MPG for the whole trip. :rockon:
