  1. Hi Trengey64 and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum. Did you call Crutchfield and speak with one of their product and installation specialists? If not, that is what I would recommend you do. Call and ask the professionals what would be best. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  2. Hi skipkern and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum. Sorry to hear about the difficulty you are having exiting your MKZ. Unfortunately, other than raising the seat as high as comfortable, there is not much that can be done. You can only go so much larger in sidewall ratio/overall tire diameter in order to "raise" the vehicle, before the increased diameter would no longer fit without rubbing on the fender or suspension. And any benefit you would get before rubbing would occur will not be worth the cost of new tires (in my opinion). While I am sure this is not what you wish to do, but if it gets too difficult to exit your MKZ, selling it and purchasing a CUV with a higher seat hip-point would probably be the best course of action. I am sure others will have more advice to offer, so keep us updated and good luck. ?
  3. Hi Art. Happy to hear you were able to receive some compensation from Lincoln. Lincoln Concierge has been very generous to me over the course of the 5 years I have owned my 2018 MKZ. ? Good luck! ?
  4. Hi jason2213 and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum. It fastens from behind. You need to disassemble part of the dash and glove compartment to get to the back. Unfortunately, I do not have a diagram. Perhaps one of our other members does and will jump in to help. Keep us updated and good luck.
  5. Hi HMH. Not completely unusual for a vehicle that was sitting for 3 weeks. Assuming everything is working properly, the battery should recharge with driving time. But your other threads hint at other issues, so that is hard to predict. Keep us updated and good luck.
  6. Hi Peter. Please do not double (or triple) post questions. It is easier for others to help if all questions, information etc. is located in one place, and it is also against Lincoln MKZ Forum rules. Since you have a hybrid, this thread in the "Lincoln MKZ Hybrid Owners" sub-forum will be left open. The others will be locked. Good luck.
  7. Hi Boowho. You do not mention what model year your MKZ is. However, yes, I have my older 2007 MKZ serviced by a local shop I trust. On the other hand, I have my newer 2018 MKZ, which is now outside the original New Vehicle Warranty, but covered under a LincolnProtect ESP Plan, serviced by my Lincoln Dealer. Good luck.
  8. Hi ashopi18 and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forums. Sorry to hear you are having issues. My recommendation: While you are waiting for a possible online solution which may or may not work, immediately call back the Service Department your Dealership and tell them about this issue. You need to do this in order to avoid the possibility that they can claim it is something they are not responsible for, because it must have happened after you took your vehicle home. Keep us updated and good luck.
  9. Hi nzkmxm. Yes, you should use the recommended specification, as per the 2017 Lincoln MKZ Owners Manual...which is the following: The rear differential: "Rear differential fluid (All Wheel Drive) (U.S. and Mexico): Motorcraft® SAE 80W-90 Premium Rear Axle Lubricant XY-80W90-QL" The specification which the oil needs to "meet and/or exceed" is "WSP-M2C197-A". And no need for additives. And the PTU: "WSL-M2C192-A Power Transfer Unit fluid (All Wheel Drive) (U.S. and Mexico) Motorcraft® SAE 75W-140 Synthetic Rear Axle Lubricant XY-75W140-QL" The specification which the oil needs to "meet and/or exceed" is "WSL-M2C192-A". And no need for additives. Let us know who you make out and good luck.
  10. Hi Ben. In your earlier posts, you stated you have oil inside cylinder 2. Oil in a cylinder would be a sign of an internal engine issue/failure. While it is not possible to accurately/precisely blind Internet diagnose the root cause of your issue, an ECU "reflashing" or replacement etc., is not going to fix that. Keep us updated and good luck.
  11. Hi USMC2062 and welcome to the Lincoln MKX Forum. Your request does not sound petty at all. You're just looking for some help to find something, and that is what we are all here for. I have one for my 2018 MKZ, but have not looked for any that fit the 2013-2016 console. I will take a look when I have a chance, and will certainly post back if I find anything. I am sure others will do the same. Keep us updated and good luck.
  12. Hi Ben. I can not vouch for/against LKQ Online Parts Warehouse. Perhaps another member who can will jump in to help? However, there is always interest in new information which may help others, so keep us updated on your progress. Good luck. ?
  13. Hi Ben and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum. I don't know of one at the moment, but will keep my eyes open and post back if I see one. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  14. Hi Shacky. You don't mention what model year your MKZ is. Your issue is more of an isolated vehicle issue, as opposed to some sort of widespread/common issue which has been discussed in the past. So there will usually not be a well known fix, since your issue is most likely not related to that of anyone else. Noises/rattles/creaks etc. can be deceiving, as they can travel from the original source to another spot, especially when driving. In my opinion, your best course of action would be to have someone drive your MKZ while you sit in the front passenger seat and right rear passenger seat, in order to listen for yourself and isolate where the noise is coming from. In this way, you can eliminate things like the seat back, seat-belt, seat-belt buckle, under seat area, etc. etc. Once you have eliminated other possibilities, you can remove trim if necessary to see if somethings behind the B-pillar trim is loose/rattling. Let us know how you make out and good luck.

    New guy here.

Hi MKZZtop and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum. There are not a lot of aftermarket choices which will "upgrade" or make an appreciable difference in handling. And in some cases, they will simply give a harsher ride. In my opinion...If the shocks/struts need to be replaced, you are best off replacing them with the Motorcraft/OEM parts. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  16. Hi Mat and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum. Take a look here for possibilities, and how to begin diagnosing/repairing: https://www.obd-codes.com/p0306 Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  17. HI kramf. Well...sorry you had to have a problem and pay that amount. But at least now I know my math skills have not deteriorated quite as much as I thought. ?? Good luck.
  18. Hi gang. Just some off the top of the head math here ( not necessarily my strong point...lol): Since the parts are itemized, I would assume (perhaps wrongly...lol) that the $542.50 line item is the labor. So my wild guess is the labor hours were 3.5, since that would come to an even ($155 per hr). Or perhaps 4 hours, at $138.125? or something in that 3.5 to 4.5 area? Just hypothesizing here...lol Good luck! ?
  19. HI kramf. Happy to hear you have your car back, and hope that takes care of the issue. Keep us updated and good luck.
  20. Hi kramf. Well, that is odd. It should not be very hard to get the correct hose, unless there is something to this story the Service Department is not telling you. Keep us updated and good luck.
  21. Hi kramf. I would not think something like a radiator hose would necessarily be covered under a 6 year/100,000 mile CPO warranty. However, I would recommend you take out your CPO contract and double check, in case they made a *mistake*. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  22. Hi kram. Sorry about how your new year has begun. The problem could be any of quite a few areas, so blind Internet diagnosis is difficult at best. Is your 2017 MKZ still within the 6 year/70,000 mile Powertrain Warranty? If yes, the issue may be covered. A guess? Your description (seemingly no coolant on ground, when filled it is okay overnight, but then leaks when driven) would lead one to believe the leak only occurs while the system is under pressure. Where is the question. Any white smoke from the exhaust? If yes, possibly a blown head gasket. If not, then perhaps a leaking hose or other point? Let us know how result of the service visit, and good luck.
  23. Wishing everyone a healthy, safe, prosperous and Happy New Year! Good luck.
  24. Hi drolds1 and thanks for the update! Hope they can nail it down this time, once the parts are in stock. Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! Good luck! ?
  25. Hi sd and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum. Take a look at this tire size calculator and input the stock and contemplated wheel/tire sizes. What you are thinking of will result in a tire that is a full 1" taller than stock. It will likely rub at the extremes of turn lock, compression etc. It will also throw off your speedometer and odometer more than is normally acceptable. But that is not a major issue. Good luck.
