  1. I had the same problem and my son is a Ford parts specialist. It doesn't fit a 2010+. Ford screwed up here. Either jury-rig something to make the hooks fir the studs or get your money back. I'll check with my son and se if they ever came out with the correct size hooks.
  2. The trunk lid uses hydraulic struts as the left mechanism. It won't pop up like the old style gooseneck hinges with torsion bar springs. You lift the lid part way and the struts do the rest. With this arrangement you get more useful trunk space as there are no hinges intruding when you close the lid.
  3. If the chips aren't too bad and you want to try and D-I-Y, you could give the Permatex Wheel Restoration Kit a try. You can buy the paint separately if that's all you want. Do not use varnish on your wheels. Varnish is intended for wood. If you want to add clear coat, Duplicolor makes a clearcoat wheel paint for automotive use.
  4. The gas gauge on this car is not kidding around. When it's on 'E' you'd better fuel up. Mine is AWD, so the tank capacity is 16.5 U.S gallons. The first time it got down to 'E' it took almost 16 gallons. That got my attention. BTW, you're not doing your car or yourself any favor by letting the fuel level get that low, especially in winter. I''d find another source of entertainment ;)
