This most frequent cause for this in these cars is sticking or failure of the passenger side blend door actuator. Replacement isn't that difficult but it does require removal of the passenger side air bag module. Therefore, if you aren't up to this task, I'd take jgeorg's advice and take the car to a dealer or competent mechanic. Presumably, your car is no longer covered under the 4/50 warranty. If it is, it's a no-brainer. You could first try lowering the ACC temp all the way down and then back up and see if this helps.

This is the 2010 MKZ Sport Appearance Package (code14s): While it doesn't say so above, there were only two interior colors available on the 2010 Sport: Steel Gray and Dark Charcoal. The seats were trimmed with Cashmere piping and stripes down the middle of the cushions. Can be seen here. I had a 2010 Sport AWD and now have a 2012 Sport AWD. When they were blowing out the 2012s, they offered me a pull-ahead deal on my lease that was too good to pass up. The Sport package transforms the car. It's very enjoyable to drive and that's saying something after the the Lincoln LSes I had previously.

Welcome to the MKZ forum. The letters are attached with adhesive tape so those can be removed with heat and dental floss or monofilament fishing line. IDK how the Lincoln star is attached but if you remove the trunk lining you'll probably be able to see if studs are used on that part. There's a CAI for the MKZ 3.5 here. Whether or not you'll get improved MPG is unknown. Also note that if you're still under the original powertrain warranty, you could encounter issues in the case of a warranty claim. Ford is getting more strict with this.

Not true. The A,Z (and D) plans are significantly better than the x-plan. However, the X-plan is still better than you can do on yor own and it's all you qualify for, so don't fret. You're still getting the best deal that you can get. Unfortunately, your dealer is a liar. Shocking, I know.

Welcome, Dan. It's good to see another live person here. I'm on my second MKZ. I had a leased 2010 Sport and I was planning on waiting for the 2013 but they offered me a deal I couldn't refuse on a 2012 for 24 months so I chose that route. It's a Sport also with AWD every option.
