Thanks for the help, I took it off today with not much issue. I think I figured out the problem why the glue was becoming exposed. Earlier this year I had the local Lincoln dealer do some airbag recalls and I think they used some extra glue when they were reapplying the trim piece. I took it off and there were just gobs of what looked like guerrilla glue everywhere, way too much.

Hello and thank you! That's what I've seen so far, I'm probably going to tackle it tomorrow morning at least get under the dash and look. And is that the same for the trim piece on the left side of the dash (right by the steering wheel)? That has the same issue of glue getting exposed from warping or something.

Has anyone ever removed this trim piece before, if so how do you do it without breaking it? Is it glued on or bolted on? On my car it has started to sag and the glue holding it onto the dash has been exposed. It looks pretty bad, I'd like to remove it and reattach it if possible.
