  1. I wanted to update anyone who may have a similar issue with low gas mileage after the car sits for an extended period. With drive time this past 6 weeks my MPG improved to their normal ranges.
  2. Follow up to let anyone who might care to know what the issue was with this warning: When the body shop replaced my trans oil cooler they failed to add transmission fluid. The car had to be towed to the dealership to diagnose this issue. I looked at my invoice from the body shop and they even had the nerve to charge my insurance company for not just the trans oil cooler but for draining the existing transmission fluid and replacing the fluid. But there was no actual transmission fluid in the reservoir after they changed that part. The body shop could not figure this out. Such a simple thing.
  3. Thank you for your response. Do you know if a hybrid battery has a serial number or any way of knowing if the original battery is in my car? With everything else that happened at that body shop I have to wonder whether they traded it out for an older one. Sounds unlikely but this shop was very unscrupulous.
  4. I went into my trunk today and there is nothing under the liner where the spare tire should be. No tools, no jack, no donut tire. Is that normal? I bought the car new with only 12 miles on it. I just got my car back from (nightmare experience that is too long to detail) a body shop that did a real number on my car. It went in with no mechanical issues and had to go to the dealership when I went to pick it up from the body shop. Body shop had it 3 weeks and 2 days for a minor fender bender (bumper, grille and headlight replacement). They claimed it needed a trans oil cooler that was on back order. My car had tons of very concerning Lincoln Way app error messages in the time they had it in the body shop. Keep in mind it had no mechanical issues or Lincoln Way App or dashboard errors before going into the shop. The car was operating perfectly and has always been a great car. The headlights even worked after the fender bender but the lenses were slightly cracked. The grille was intact but only had cracks around the outer rectangular rim and the bumper had a hole from the trailer hitch ball on the truck in front of me that brake checked me. ? They could not get my car in for 2 months from accident date due to the Hurricane Ian backlog of damage cars. I drove it quite a bit for at least 300 miles with no issues or warnings whatsoever. Th e car drives rough now and has super low gas mileage and the hybrid battery is very low. Here are the issue that I was notified of in Lincoln Way App while it was in the body shop: 1 Engine Misfire in between the Deep Sleep mode notices that all came on the same day the power train malfunctions started. Powertrain Malfunction (4x in the last 2 days they had it) This car was not even in there for anything except the fender bender parts I indicated above. 3 notifications Remote Features Disabled Deep Sleep Mode
  5. The Lincoln Way App is awesome. You can check your oil change range, tire pressure, see where it is if it goes missing and is parked, and in the Message Center you can be immediately notified if any thing is going on with the car. It goes very in depth as far as the level of sophistication of the notifications. I would go into the app permission and ensure you have sound on so that you can know immediately if there is an issue.
  6. My 2018 MKZ H normally has approx 37 mpg driving in city. It was in the shop for 3 weeks after a fender bender. I got the car back yesterday and the hybrid battery is showing a very low level of charge and my gas mileage went down to 24 mpg. Does anyone have any idea why? Is there anything I can do to get the battery recharging? The car has very low miles as well. Please help! ? Thank you
