  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVYk8VpZORE I've recently come across this video that describes the same issue I am experiencing... instead of engine replacement the ECU is reflashed/repaired and then reinstalled. This fixes the misfire in many models of lincoln and ford vehicles. I'm going to reach out to some ECU flashing companies to try and get this accomplished. It is a cheap way of trying an alternative fix to replacing an expensive engine undertaking. Any ECU flashers on this forum?! Thanks ya'll
  2. Found a mechanic willing to do the swap, and in addition will replace the water pump & spark plugs for a whopping...... $3,100. + $1000 for a lightly used engine with 6 month warranty = $4000 engine swap. The engine was cheaper than I thought possible, and labor was double my estimate. hahahahaaaaa I'm taking the weekend to mull over my options.
  3. Can anyone vouch for LKQ Online parts warehouse? I found several used low mileage 2.0 liter hybrid engines (same engine from Ford Fusion) for $1,000 after shipping and taxes. Next is finding a mechanic willing and knowledgeable to do the swap without breaking the bank. Fingers crossed! I am located in Kansas City, MO. Happy to share my progress if there is interest here. Pics show the used engine with a compression test, and my car... made it to 233,000 miles before I lost compression on cylinder #2.
  4. Has anyone seen or know of a 2.0 Liter engine for sale? I may need to replace my engine on my 2014 MKZ hybrid. What started as a misfire on cylinder #2, now shows oil inside the cylinder. Body of vehicle is in perfect shape, looking for a used engine to entertain the price of a swap. Thank you Ben
