What kind of dash cam do you have? I bought one a little while ago to document my drives throughout Detroit. It does a really good job, however, you cannot have it charging while using it - totally runs off of the battery. Once the battery goes dead, you have to recharge it again. I was thinking of using my old smart phone on video mode to record my driving.

If you cannot get the answer here, please try these two resources as well: http://www.FordSYNCForum.com AND http://wwwSYNCMyRide.com Let us know what you find out, please.

It's great to read these testaments for owners coming from other brands and repeat MKZ buyers. -
Thanks for the instructions. :)

There are so many impressive colors coming out today. I was looking at the triple yellow Shelby GT350 = killer color.

The OEM testing is FAR more stringent than what the aftermarket can or will do. Very few aftermarket companies have the capability and financial capacity to do that. Plus, look at the huge influx or wheels coming in from China that look good, but the durability is totally lacking.

Is this MKZ a good deal?
robertlane replied to Max's topic in Buying, Ordering and Leasing a Lincoln MKZ
Why, after all of these years is this still funny! -
Welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum :) Good points. I had my black Mustang's windows tinted and should have gone my shade lighter than I did. In the end, the tint looked way darker than the car once it was applied.

100% agree. And FoMoCo as a company is going in that direction - I see and hear it living up here in Dearborn often. The problem arises with legacy dealers who sold both Lincoln and Mercury and a few of them, which are dual franchised: Ford-Lincoln. The two dealerships around here are exclusively Lincoln - they do not sell Fords. That's the best solution as william pointed out above.

This is the first time that I have heard about this issue on an MKZ or actually on any SYNC powered vehicle. +1

2016 MKZs already on the horizon. I think we're about 6-weeks away from JOB1.

That's a Lincoln MKZ for its parts and components. . .unless you can find one totally on the side so that you can pull off a cut/paste of the front clip AND right rear -
I wonder why there isn't a push app that cannot be tied into Lincoln's system either on iOS or Android, etc. I actually never played with Google calendar, but it's something I am going to look into. ;) I think that we've crossed that bridge in the past few years. I wouldn't doubt if what he's talking about above doesn't already exist in another make or if it's not already on the drawing board. I have a smart phone, but I really only check my forwarded e-mail on it and the stock ticker - that's it. I still jot down my to do list via pen and paper.

LEDs make a huge difference and are well worth the upgrade price.

I have never seen anything like that before, nor have I heard of other instances like this. Do you plan on taking it to the dealer?

Ugh = sad to read about your bad experience with a Lincoln dealer. :gaah: It's really frustrating because being here in Deaborn, I know how hard they are working the on products and the brand.
-
What's the link to the video?
-
I've heard that story before - why didn't you tell us, why? why? why? You're 100% right, Joe. Lincoln cannot afford bad dealer experiences with their new product interest.

Lincoln MKC JOB1 hasn't been assigned yet for 2016 - more production dates: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/58204-2016-ford-and-lincoln-job1-production-dates/

My first thought too. Let us know what you find out, please.

Keep us posted. It's certainly not good to read that you would have to drive 45 minutes to another Lincoln dealer. Hopefully, Lincoln can correct this issue for you.
