  1. I haven't kept up with the CLA reviews - I am (or was) more or a BMW person when BMW was, well BMW. Is the CLA a BMW 3-Series fighter?
  2. Daimler stock is going great, if that's any consolation.
  3. Production for the 2016 MKZ will start on 4-6-15
  4. I am thinking the same thing. A lot of new members have been indeed joining lately, which is great. It would be even better if they started posting too
  5. Lincoln MKZ Forum - Close to 1,100 Members We're past the 1,000 member mark and closing in on 1,100 members now :happy feet: We've had quiet a few new members, which have joined us over the past month, so welcome to all of these new members! Feel free to post a topic about your MKZ here and include some photos too :camera:
  6. Does the author not realize that Cadillac's efforts have not worked as planned and they need to take another shot, which could take. . .10 more years?
  7. Not always on the BMW, but near close and that's a good strategy for them.
  8. Welcome to Lincoln MKZ Forum ;)
  9. Sorry to read that you like the MKZ but that the Lincoln dealers in your area suck. Lincoln is working hard to revamp that dealer network and it's going to take a lot of time. Was your local Lincoln dealer a former Lincoln-Mercury dealer? Good luck on the Tesla - they are really cool cars and high rated too. Come back and let us know what you get.
  10. That was the twin to the Ford Fairmont, right? I like the classic names too. Although, MKZ doesn't bother me and I can't see them dropping the MKC or MKX names? They could have called the MKC something different, but they stuck with the MK designation. Same with the new MKX. They could have also gone with a new name with the 2016s all new design, but they are not. The Lincoln Aviator is another matter all together and they will probably revive that name. :ohsnap: I didn't even see that one coming!

  13. That's an interesting take on it and Lincoln did evolve into a brand that catered to older people more recently - they let that happen. Although, old names can be youthful and cool - Mustang dates back to 1964 and Cobra to 1962. BMW uses numbers to generally denote size. Audi and Mercedes use alpha numberic. In each case, the lower the value, the smaller that the vehicle generally is. The Germans adopted the system because it was easy and simplistic in nature to understand. Americans want to follow it becase they believe people will focus on the make rather than the model.

  17. It looking more and more like the Lincoln MKS will become the Lincoln Continental within the next model year or two. While the Lincoln Zephyr became the current Lincoln MKZ, how would you feel about it reverting back to the Zephyr name again? Thoughts?

  23. :hysterical: Nice. He was really cool in private as he was in public - just awesome to be around. Yenko's daugther is on Facebook and she has a new Camaro. That brand could have been something really big too.
  24. I was living in Vegas at that time and was Bootlegger on the Blvd. There were two times that we tried to go from Vegas to L.A., but I-15 was totally closed at either Barstow or Baker due to snow/ice. I did like looking at the snow capped mountains almost every day too. On the other side, I like the winter for about 1.5 months and after that, no way! It makes me want to move back to Florida sometimes.
