  1. I did battle with my dealer for almost a year trying to get them to turn on the DRL's for my 2013 MKZ. Similar issues; service rep did not know anything about how to turn them on. Then the dealer got a new service rep and magically he figured out how to have DRL's turned on.
  2. I do have the signature lamps with the 102A package and the 2.0L engine. There are two sets of lights on each side below the head lights; the bottom set is white and the top set is amber when the flashers are on. The white lights are on all of the time. I will relay to my service guy that an anonymous service rep. mentioned that he has not run across any MKZ that he can ot turn on the DRL's.
  3. Have you ever had version/package of the MKZ (assuming it is equiped with the signature lights) where you have been unable to turn the DRL's on? My dealer says that there are some cars that can have them turned on and some that can not. I am puzzle why that could be the case. Would you be willing to share with my dealer how to turn on the lights?
  4. Roger, My dealer tried the number that you gave me and it was not South Bay. Would (310) 598-1908 be a better number ( I Googled it)? Do you have a name of the technician who did the programming. Looks like you have the hybrid; what's your equipment group? I have the 2.0L with equipment group 102A which includes the signature lamps. I know of two people with hybrids that have had DRL's added, Has anyone with gas (which engine) and the 102A equipment group had DRL's added by the dealer? My dealer is saying that some cars can have DRL's added and some can not (even if they have the signature lamps), but he can not explain why.
  5. I have just over 23,000 miles on my MKZ and there is not much life left in my tires. Very disapointing mileage for Michelin tires (245/40 R 19), very disappointing for any tires. I do not drive my cars hard and i rotate about every 4,000 miles. I would expect better tread life that what I am experiencing. What is your experience on your 2013 or 2014 MKZ? Any suggestion for a tire that would get better mileage?
  6. Just had oil change and some warrenty work done on my 2013 MKZ. Also asked dealer to activate The DLR's. He came back with a standard Ford answer that it can not be done. I printed out a copy of this thread. His response is that the reason Ken Z's car could have its DLR's activated is that it must be a Fleet car that he purchased used. My dealer asked if I could get KenZ's VIN number so he could confirm the build and determine if it was a Fleet car and what it might have that allowed the enabling of the DLR's. I have the 102A package which includes the Signature Lamps. Therefore, I believe they should be able to enable the DLR's. Ken Z you appear to be the only one on this thread who has had success with getting the dealer to turn on your DLR's. Therefore, I was wondering if you could pass on your VIN or any othe rinflormation that I could bring to my dealer to enlighten him to the ways of turning on DLR's
  7. I agree, the mileager does not live up to its hype! I live in a rural area with flat roads and a lot of 45 - 55 mph driving. My previous car was a 2007 BMW 328 rated at 29 mpg highway. I averaged 29 mpg for all of my driving when I drove the BMW around my area. So, I assumed that I would get the 34 mpg that Lincoln advertized for highway driving. However, I only get 29 mpg for thes same type of driving that I did with the BMW. I have over 10,000 miles on the car, so it is" broken in".
  8. Bought my first Lincoln in March of this year; one of the first ones delivered. First Lincoln, but second Ford product. First car was a 1956 red and white Ford convertable purchased in 1962. Previous car was a BMW 328 and before that a Lexus ES300.
