  1. .....................................
  2. I frequently travel in the Auburn Hills/Lake Orion area and there are a lot of crappy rough dirt roads in that area. You're on a nice paved road and it suddenly turns to dirt.
  3. I've seen the posts where some have changed their brakes at 140K just to be safe. Someone posted pictures on the FFH forums where their brakes were at 50% at 120K but they still changed them to be safe. I have also seen posts where the ebrake was sticking/hanging up causing premature rear brake wear. From the FFH forums....http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/9250-rear-brakes/?hl=brakes
  4. Did they check to see if there was an issue that may have caused it? I just had mine checked and all 4 wheels had just over 80% left. Mine has 32,680 miles on it and my lifetime brake score is 92%.
  5. Obviously...like I wrote in my post.....the maps are not updated.
  6. I don't understand your having to update the map every year. I have a 2013 MKZh that came with an A4 map. About a year ago I bought an A7 map off of Ebay for $50.00. In my area and in Ohio and Michigan, where I travel, there have been new roads built since 2013 and the A7 map still didn't have the updates. Don't waste your money by thinking you have/need to update constantly. I also have a 2016 Edge with SYNC 3 and the maps on it are still not updated.
  7. I have severe lower back issues and I'm able to adjust the seat for comfort. I have to readjust every 200 miles or so but it's not an issue for me. I don't think there is any difference between my 2013 and your 2014. I do not use the lumbar support...too painful.
  8. I had a squeak coming from the rear area not long after I picked up my 2013 new. The dealer turned it over to their interior guy and in about an hour he found a loose speaker and fixed it. This dealer is fairly big and they have a guy that just works on interiors.
  9. I'm sure you meant to say...except for the hybrid models.
  10. I have Sync 3 on my 2016 Edge. I also find it way more responsive than my other cars. I like just speaking the street address. It has been 100% accurate so and I have spoken about 30 addresses so far. Sync 3 is much-much faster than MyFordTouch.
  11. "One negative is I don't see much need or reason for park assist features (which anyone should know how to perpendicular or parallel park". I've been parallel parking for more than 40 years, but I still use parking assist.....because it's neat stuff and I paid for it in my last 3 cars. Might as well use it. :)
  12. I used 3.8 to update my 2013 and it works just fine.
  13. KenZ - I remember that we got our 2013s at about the same time. I'm not quite ready to pull the trigger on a new one yet as I just bought a new Edge and my 2013 MKZh only has 31K miles on it. When I sold my 2013 FFH it went in less than two days at full private party cash sales price. At the dealer where I do business you rarely see a FFH or MKZh and they do sell fast. Enjoy your new MKZ.
  14. Guaranteed....all MKZs and Fusions headed to the USA leave the plant in Mexico by rail. Even if they are being delivered to Arizona. The point of entry into the USA is through Arizona. You sales person is BSing you.
  15. Look at Google Earth and you can see the lots, just off site at the plant. The biggest one holds 25,000+ cars and there are several lots. Those dirt lots were completely full when the 2013 Fusion/MKZs came out and there were many issues.
  16. Make sure you really check with the dealer. It won't show as delivered to the dealer until they check it in. I had this happen before. I got an update once that it was awaiting delivery, but drove to the dealer and found it on their back lot. The car had been there for 2 days. I went to the dealer GM and asked when they were going to check it in. His reply was basically oops. Flat Rock to Troy is just under 50 miles. I drive it frequently. I don't live there, but I probably should move there for as much as I drive it. Hope you enjoy your 2017. I've decided that I have bought way too many cars recently and will keep my 2013 for awhile longer.
  17. I don't know about "heavily discounted" as Weathertech sells them on their site or $109., but then $8 is $8. Better is your pocket that theirs.
  18. Brock, Illinois is were they switch the rail cars to different trains.
  19. Here's how to track the rail car: CSX 1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352 2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location. 3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt. 4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is) 5. When prompted for next car say DONE. 6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report. Union Pacific 1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 2. Follow phone prompts for Trace 3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together 4. Listen for your update
  20. From my past experiences your cars may be on the same trains, but they will split in one of the Chicago rail yards. One goes East and then to Michigan and the other travels. Both of mine sat in Dolton (Chicago) for several days before they continued on. If you can get the rail car numbers from your dealer they are fun to follow. The dealers (several different ones) always gave them to me when I asked. When they are loaded on the trains at a plant the rail car number becomes available to them. Don 't let them buffalo you. It takes all of 30 seconds to look this info...if that long.
  21. Did they give you the rail car number so you can follow it?
  22. ETIS does not populate until the vehicle is built.
  23. Ford/Lincoln has been using the capless system since MY 2010.
  24. I went with the Pirelli P7. They are an eco tire and very reasonably priced at Tire Rack. Just took a 2600 mile trip in alot of rain. No issues.
