  1. I have a 2015 Lincoln MKZ which I recently acquired. Great car. It does not appear to have the built-in modem. Did some of these cars not include the modem or am I missing something? It would be great to be able to use the Lincoln Way phone app to access the car. Any help or comments appreciated
  2. I have a very nice 2015 MKZ. It apparently does not have the "Lincoln Way" modem so that I could lock/unlock or start the car remotely through the App. I know that most 2015s have this. Anyone know if there is a way to have the dealer add it?
  3. Interesting post, Left. I have a 2015 MKZ (metallic black) with the V6 engine. Before I forget to say it, the paint on this car is absolutely sensational. Ford/Lincoln really know how to paint a car. My single favorite thing about the car is the power. The car has a feeling of effortless power that enables me to glide in and out of traffic effortlessly. It truly drives like a V8 engine. I'll respectfully disagree with you about the transmission. I find the transmission to be fine. And in Sport Mode it is great fun! Coupled with the powerful engine, the car is a lot of fun to drive. Lastly, the tech on this car is definitely ahead of its time. The instrument cluster would not be out of place on a 2020 car. I really like the simplicity of the control layout. It looks unique and futuristic, and definitely prevents the car from looking dated. My only regret is that the Synch 2 system cannot manage Apple Car Play. That is truly unfortunate. I agree with you on the comfort. While the seats in our Cadillac CT4-V are better, these seats have good lumbar support and enable me to handle relatively long drives with ease. The MKZ really makes me regret that Lincoln has exited the sedan market. I think that this was a shortsighted mistake, but beancounters will be beancounters, I suppose.
  4. Thanks for the info, Robert; I'll give it a try.
  5. Thanks. It is a beautiful car and drives like a dream. Ahead of its time in many ways as a 2015. Has digital tach and speedo, adaptive cruise control, lanekeeping and collision warning, front parking sensor, parking assist, and much more. Regrettably it does not support Lincoln Way or Apple CarPlay, which is sort of the hallmark of current 2020-2021 cars. Can't have everything. Synch 2 is not bad; I have been using it for years on our 2012 Ford Explorer (my former ride). From what I can see there is no practical way to upgrade the car to get those features. CarPlay would have been nice. Far from the end of the world, and as I said, the car drives and handles superbly and looks fantastic.
  6. I just took over my wife's 2015 MKZ. Still learning about the car. It has the black metallic paint which is totally gorgeous. Has the V6 engine, which I really like. Regrettably, it doesn't appear to have the built-in modem for use with the Lincoln Way app. Any tips on the car greatly appreciated.
