  1. I just fixed mine. I reached up there where the shade rolls up and I cut out the metal strips as close to the roller as I could with some cutting piers. My strip broke loose from the front of the shade and was balling up and getting in the way. After I cut them out...the shade is smooth, quiet, and rolls all the way back. This worked for me...hope it will work for you.
  2. This is about the only thread i could find that someone actually upgraded the factory stereo. This was the THX system right? Why did you use the input side of the OEM amp for mids and highs but connected at the rear deck speakers for your inputs for your sub amp....why?
  3. I recently did a sync2 to sync3 swap and i had to replace the camera. The camera is a Dorman model and it has a clean picture and it works but when i back up the white parking lines is away in the position in the picture. This happens even if I’m backing up straight. Is it because its an aftermarket camera or do i need to reset or calibrate something.
  4. The sync 3 part is great but the sound output sucks. I think there are two amps in the trunk. Looks like there’s the big amp you see when you first peel back the carpet. But behind that is what I believe is the ANC module and a smaller amplifier. Someone correct me if thats wrong. I didn’t realize the 2013 MKZ has no aftermarket support for the radio and amps. I’ve called maestro, pac audio, audio control and searched around online. I can’t find any good YouTube with just a simple amp upgrade. I thought the fusion stuff might have work...but nope. Well gonna search on this forum to see if i can find something.
  5. I completely understand. I’ll just have do it that way. I hope i can find a plug n play harness instead of cutting or splicing the wires. Thanks for the suggestion
  6. Thanks I’ll search that Thanks I’ll research that
  7. I understand want you are trying to do...that’s how i ending finding this thread. This is for anyone with information. I have a 2013 Lincoln MKZ with a Sync 3 swap. I guess the best way i could describe what I’m looking to do is turn up the volume of the rear speakers. Is there a way to change the settings in the DSP for that. I’m not looking to use the fader control. I would like to match the rear output volume with the front. I know the rear subs can hit harder than what Ford set them at. If I can’t turn up the rear speakers, can the amp be replaced with an aftermarket amp. What kit would i need?
