Not sure if it was you... but replacement of the gasket after 6 years would be the thing to look at.... if it's still loosing fluid, best to take it to a repair shop, like AAMCO or something or even the dealer.... could be something else....

I just updated to the newer version this morning (while driving into work), so when I get off work i will see what it is like.

I just checked and this is available... not sure if it's just for 2020 MKZ Hybrids, so you might want to make sure.... NO it is not for 3.0

Make sure you are at the latest (from Lincoln) update, maybe a Factory Reset (it gets rid of settings) will allow you to re setup the stations...

BEcause it is random, it is hard to say what it is. Maybe a Master Reset will help? Maybe... A trip to the dealer might be in order.... depending on warranty, etc...

Also, remember that Updating the operating system will not also update the maps... so going to 3.0 is all you will be doing... unless you ALSO download the 1-19 or 2-20 maps (paid for or not)

Plan on it taking about 1-2 hours.... time to download the file (internet speed and age of your computer will affect that). How long it takes to put the needed files on a USB stick (USB 2.0 seems the most reliable , and of course big enough) THEN, once you put it in the car and start it (it should start on its own), it can take a while...

Yup, and do you have it paired with the phone? If so, try unpairing it... see if that works... also when you pair it again test it... Might be a bug in the latest update that you have. Also see if there is a newer one. ?

although I doubt it, but make sure you are using it (AA) while plugged in, not through BT, BT can only handle one connection at a time. Depending on what you are streaming, AA can do that too....

I know you said you don't see it... this is not an MKZ but I believe the menus are right

my 2020 has a button on the same part of the console where the up/down for windows are and mirror adjust... not sure if the 2018 is the same unless that is not what you are looking for. ?

Hmm... that was something that I had noticed, but because I use google maps for nav, it was not a big deal. Once the newer version was installed, the traffic for Sync 3.4 was sooner (less than 30 seconds) I'm on 21098 of 3.4 now... if you are the same , try a factory reset, and if it's still a long delay, let the Concierge know about it... maybe they have more fixes, or can setup the makers to know it's not good for you. ?

Could be it was rebooting after each set of files.... as long as it's not rebooting anymore then you should be ok ... As far as things to check, that is up to you , I don't use it much, other than for nav when I'm in an area that does not have CEL service... and radio etc.... I'm sure this was just a bug fix, rather than added or subtracted features... but Ford/Lincoln never says, so no way to know

if it is not defective... try cleaning it better. ?. THe touch parts are really sensitive...

The Lincoln app , for me was not reporting the correct time of day.... (i.e I had it set to start at 4:45AM , and I'm in Los Angeles. If was telling me I was in Detroit, but the time was 7:45) after a couple updates they fixed that ( I had called it in to Lincoln) It now reports the right location and time. ? So it is possible that the app was remote starting it and then it would time out (usually 10 or so minutes after)
