  1. Thanks everyone for the support and feedback. I just did a "pre-purchase vehicle inspection," on it few weeks ago when I bought it and Lincoln recommended replacing the brakes since it was in the red. Its a 2017 MKZ Hybrid with 43k miles.
  2. Hi I am a newbie here and to Lincoln MKZ. Its due for rear brakes...can anyone recommend a good brand for brakes and rotors? Thanks!
  3. Thanks guys for the input on the MPG. Its been afew weeks now since I got the car, I noticed when I put in 87 octane total range is 450....at 91 octane its 525 and haven't tried 93 octane yet. Some of you are saying you get about 40-45 in the city I don't experience this at all and tried to be gentle on the gas/electric and coast. I average 37.5 to 38 consistently in the city, am I missing out on something to get another 5--7 mpg? Also I notice when I drive the total range seems like its decreasing at a much rapid pace, for example I do my daily drive 12 miles each way when I got to my destination it decreased my total range from 450 miles (full tank) to 427? Anyone know why that is?
  4. Takeshi Thank you for the detailed answer. I suppose its the driving habits I have to change and have a gentle foot overall.
  5. So I literally just bought a 2017 MKZ Hybrid few days ago. I filled up the gas tank to full costed $22 (amazing, never had a full tank that cheap) and it showed 406 miles as range. The confusion I have and maybe because I've never owned a Hybrid before and not sure how it works but I drove from the gas station to my dealership which is only 12 miles and my range showed 375 which is eating up bit more than double the miles. The dealership told me that's "common," and that basically I should drive like a granma lol . Tried to explain to let off the gas much as possible but its Impossible being in DC. Am I not doing something right, anything with the Hybrid or battery system I should know about? Any advice would be great! Thanks!!
