  1. I do not think it's the size of your usb stick. I am assuming you tried all usb ports? Have you tried reformatting your usb stick and loading the music back into?
  2. Hi bbf2530, I have not encountered the same issue again but if it happens again I will try the solution you have provided. Thanks a lot!
  3. May I add, my previous Fusion - aside from the hard shifting that had been fixed, I also encountered the "bang / slam" phenomena under the same condition. FWIW, I just got my MKZ from a garage after a Transmission and PTU fluid exchanges yesterday. I drove to work today and was trying to replicate the same phenomena. Much as I tried - and if I am being very an*l about it - I think all I had was a faint (very faint) nudge, no "bang/slam" at all, more like feeling a just a regular gear change. Now, it was only a 3-4 mile drive. I will try to observe the vehicle's behavior as days goes by and report back.
  4. Seems like there are two different issues mentioned here. I do not have the 1-2 hard shift on my MKZ but I did have the same issue on my previous 2014 Fusion + harsh shift in reverse. Copy/Paste from the Fusion repair paperwork. Not sure if it can be something useful with the OP's issues. Concern: Customer states when shifting from park to reverse feels like the vehicle is jerking. There is also delay when shifting gears. Cause: Verify shift concern into REV Check OASIS FOUND SSM 45736 INSTALL IDS FOR SIFT SOL NUMBERS Correction: Remove Valve Body, Replace SSB and SSD and TCC Shift solenoid Reinstall valve body, Refill trans fluid Road test, Return to customer I have to say, though, after the fix, that during the first two days, the vehicle was shifting hard - no delay, and no issue of jerking while shifting to reverse. On the third day, it's all shifting smoothly. Hope this helps. I do have "slam" and I can replicate it almost every time. For me, it ONLY happens during light acceleration AND while I happen to release the gas pedal before a change in gear completes.
  5. Yeah, I am aware of 22mm vs the 19mm OEM. Fortunately, I have a 22mm lug wrench. Thanks again guys!
  6. Yeah, I did search on the McGard site and found the set there first then checked on amazon. I'll definitely feedback once I have them installed.
  7. Hey bbf2530, drolds1 I am considering replacing my lug nuts and just had the chance to search for a replacement. Would you mind checking if this is a decent choice? Thanks! https://www.amazon.com/McGard-84525-Chrome-Wheel-Installation/dp/B007QB5AHY/ref=sr_1_22?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1575375798&s=automotive&sr=1-22&vehicle=2017-55-5859-3408--1-6--21933--1-1---8&vehicleName=2017+Lincoln+MKZ
  8. They were not able to replicate the issue so nothing was done. And, I haven't experienced the same again - hopefully not anymore. As it gets even colder this winter and the vehicle will be outside the office, I shall see if it happens again. I was advised, if it does happen again, to drive immediately to the dealership and have a technician ride with me.
  9. I also have the 14-speaker Revel audio. I may not add an aftermarket sub but I'm interested how this works for you. Have you considered ripping your CD albums into a lossless format? I did mine in FLAC format into a 32gb USB drive with no audible loss of SQ and definitely beats having to bring multiple CD albums.
  10. Hi Sam, did you try to perform a master reset of the unit and add your vehicle again?
  11. Hi bbf2530. I have successfully updated my SYNC and was going to report an update per the last part of the instructions. There was an error the very 1st time I tried to report the update. Like you said, maybe it was already reported but given the error I encountered during my attempt to report made me think otherwise. Thanks.
  12. It is still a no go for me. Instruction 1: Visit the SYNC Software Updates page. If you see a notification saying, "You have recently downloaded an update," then you are eligible to confirm that you were able to update your SYNC system successfully. Choose Confirm Update. I do not have the Confirm Update link. It just says: You do not have a download available at this time. Instruction 2: If you do not see the Confirm Update button, you may need to manually report your SYNC software version. Visit the software report page and follow the on screen instructions. When I do that, error message says: Looks like we've hit a roadblock I will try again next time.
  13. Dealership just called. I was told that the issue came from the brakes/rotors which are somehow pitted/rusted. I already checked them beforehand - they are fine. It has been sitting at a dealership's lot that why is a bit rusted on the surface but they will wear off. I indulged a little about the brake issue so I asked how will the brakes squeak - only on one side - when they are not even engaged when the squeaking happens. All they said was they wanna do a brake job to "isolate" the problem. I brought up the information I got here and was relayed to them upon check-in yesterday - they said the issue cannot be replicated. I will try what bbf2530 suggested to replicate the issue when I get the car back later today. Next dealership is about 40miles away. Sorry not much information I can provide to you guys. By the way, where do you guys get lug nut replacement? I was informed about bulging lug nuts (which is a common issue - i had the same on my 2014 Fusion that i traded in). It was a $117 cost to replace them at the dealership. They will install exactly the same lug nuts that are prone to bulge. Thanks everyone.
  14. This came right on time. I am about to leave for the dealership. I'm dropping it off tonight for tomorrow's schedule. Thank you very much.
  15. Hi bbf2530. This is a very good information. Thank you. I was unsure that it could be shock/struts because the sound was almost too sharp. I will update this thread once I got the vehicle back. I came to work today after the car has been sitting inside the garage overnight - "quiet as a bank vault" as you say ?
  16. I got the vehicle just over a week ago. Great car, I should say. No issues until today. Car is garage kept. Left for work at 6am today - 4 mile drive. No issues. Parked the vehicle at my office until 4:30pm under low 30's weather. Started squeaking immediately the moment I drove away. It seems like its coming from rear passenger side. It squeaked the entire 4mile drive home. More squeak on left turns and road bumps. Anyone experience this? I made an online appointment to have it looked at on Thursday.

Just want to say hello to everyone. Last week, I got myself a CPO 2017 MKZ 3.0TT AWD Ingot Silver. Most of my travel is home > work > home @ 4 miles one way. Currently looking for a DD for that purpose. This car rocks!! Does the massage seats help you keep awake on longer trips?
