*Disclaimer: This is all FOR FUN. Each and everyone has there own preference regarding a very delicate subject re: FACEMASK. I just chanced upon this while checking what's going on with Amazon Prime Day. You probably think I have way more time in my hands - yeah, I do since I'm back to working from home ?

2019 2.0 TSB - Block Replacement
kramf411 replied to ajschicago's topic in Maintenance, Recalls & TSBs
Oh this is interesting. -
Yes, it should definitely be heat related but drolds1 may have meant those peel-off films should have been removed in the first place?
-
Hi bbf2530, it had it replaced at a Lincoln dealership. No appointments necessary - was told to walk in.
-
My battery was replaced with the "Max life" model. All is good now. I forgot to ask about the reset but I didn't get any weird issues on the electronic/electrical accessories that I noticed. No display of the "battery saver" message either. The car will be sitting overnight, too. Yeah, this ^ Thanks again everyone for chiming in.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the battery reset. Thanks! I do plan on having the battery change at the dealership. What happens if the car was not reset after battery change?
-
I went to have the battery checked at Autozone. They can't even measure anything. I started the car - hesitated - then came on. Traveled 4miles for an errand and unfortunately I have to turn the engine off. 1 button press, nothing. 2 press nothing. Waited a minute or so then it started. Went on a 20mile highway run before heading home. Left idling for a bout 5minutes before I turn it off. Will it start tomorrow is anyone's guess. It's high time for a new battery. What do you guys have been replacing it with? Leaving from work, I had this message:
-
They say no. I just thought it was worth the try.
-
bbf2530, thanks for your reply. There were no warning messages. I also noticed that the chimes sound different/louder than it used to be but no messages. Will know later once I have the battery load tested. By the way, would you know if the battery is covered under CPO? I have until July 2022 /100k miles. I'm now at 60k miles

Happened out of the blue. Could be battery related but I thought of asking anyways in case it is not and may be something worse. Car is used daily: short distance (~4mi) to and from work on weekdays and short trip (~6miles to grocery) on weekends. This weekend was the first time the car was not used at all. When I started the car this morning, it hesitated but turned on. I noticed there was a delay when the gauges showed up and, when it did, there was an "AWD Restored" message. It did the same when I went out for lunch just now. I will have to dig up when the battery was last replaced. I will go to have the battery tested after work. In the meantime, has anyone encountered the same?

Wont start. CPU issues?
kramf411 replied to Jdurbin82's topic in General Engine, Powertrain & Transmission
This may not help you with your particular issues but what you are experiencing is consistent with what I just experience on my friend's vehicle. Literally just yesterday, he called me to jump start his car. When I came to check, the car exhibits the same signs you mentioned. Being a honda accord, the starter was buried deep. It took a couple of taps (hard hits on occasion) to the starter to coax it to crank. 3 days prior, the car was already showing signs wherein it will take a couple ignition turns before it cranks. Is this the first time, it will not start? Here is a link to the manual https://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/vdirsnet/OwnerManual/Home/Index?Variantid=3313&languageCode=EN&countryCode=USA&marketCode=US&bookcode=O26036&VIN=&userMarket=USA&div=l Good luck! -
I have it. 2017 3.0T AWD with Panoramic roof.
-
This is interesting. I will have to see for myself when the time comes.
-
May not help you but I'm just curious, did the vehicle honk while you were moving away from the vehicle? It always startles me when I forget to leave the keyfob by the cupholder while leaving the car with the engine on.
-
This confirms my mind is not playing tricks on me then ?
-
Please report if you do ?

Or a failing fuel filter?

Sometimes the Lincoln App is very finicky. If you have performed all the checklist provided by the folks here and still cannot get through the app, try: 1. Uninstalling the app from your phone then install it back. You may just clear the cache but uninstalling gives you a "fresher" start. 2. Perform a master reset of the radio 3. Resume pairing your phone with Sync Good luck.

Maybe the owner can't decide between a MKZ and a Cadillac Brougham ?
