  1. Perhaps the gasoline station is employing a signal jammer meant to discourage use of cellphone during fill up and so happens to include the frequency where the keyfob is transmitting.
  2. I didn't realize this wasn't answered, however, my friend went ahead and purchased through the manufacturer - MGP actually told him there is a difference between the 2.0 and 3.0 but did not elaborate. It looked nice, material is good and was very easy to install as mentioned here in this thread. He liked it but there is a little or glaring issue (depends on the person's level of OCD ?). The issue is specific to those who ordered with engraved letters, logo or drawing. They are engraved with exactly the same orientation. Meaning, if the letters are trending upwards on one side, they will be trending downwards on the other side. He spoke with a customer service rep about this and was told they engraved it in pair which is more of a convenience for the manufacturer. Also, if he wanted to have both sides to have the same orientation, he would have to order 2 sets and specify the other set to be in a different orientation. One cannot order a 1 set with both sides having opposite orientation. He wrote a review on MGP's website about what to expect when purchasing this item and somehow they still have not posted his review although the review count keep filing up and apparently MGP is only posting 5 star reviews on their site. Luckily, he said, he took a screenshot of his review and is posting that shot in their social media site. I was gonna purchase but now I'm thinking ?
  3. I am curious is the Explorer's puddle light just a lighting or a logo like the MKZ?
  4. Yes, same thing with my 2017 - side mirrors have to be in the retracted position.
  5. Hi @bbf2530, thank you for a very detailed information. I just arrived from an 80+ mile trip (both ways) and I had a couple of opportunities to really punch it - dry and flat highway. I can definitely say there was a steer- not much but noticeable - but it quickly disappeared (corrected), so I guess, my vehicle is operating properly? I am intrigued with the Hands Off the Wheel drive test, though. I will certainly do that when I get the chance.
  6. It seems to be a whole lot of torque steer at the very first time I experienced it and compounded by the fact that I never had a vehicle that does that - well, I also don't usually "punch the pedal to the metal". Now that I am more aware of it, seems like it's not that bad. I will mention it on my next service, though. My question is: Is a little torque steer okay? Or, there should be absolutely no torque steer and any other conditions mild or not are deemed bad?
  7. Exactly what is happening on my 2017 3.0 AWD. The very first time it happened, I have to let go of the gas pedal coz' it scared the sh#t out of me. ?
  8. This reminds me of my struggle when I replaced my rotors (I always do) at only 59k miles. PB Blaster + pry bar did nothing to me. All rotors were stuck so bad I had to borrow a heavy duty jaw puller from Autozone. One of them was particularly bad that I thought it broke into half when it flung towards me when it finally released.?
  9. ...or one could reassign one of the memory buttons (if not already in use) as a seat exit position.
  10. Seems like @bnewt has two inquiries. How to turn on the radio without starting the vehicle is settled. There are two ways as elaborately described by @bbf2530 How to remain ON for longer than 10 minutes? Not sure about that. FORSCAN?? Nonetheless, the longer any vehicle accessory is turned on without starting the vehicle, the more is the battery drain. Thinking out loud... Say for example a person is working inside a garage for long hours and doesn't want to settle with a cellphone music against an awesome Revel system ? and doesn't mind going back and forth every 10minutes to turn the radio back ON - maybe a trickle charger will work to prevent battery drain? Of course, a person can always go for a drive after to regain the battery charge but what if there is 5ft of snow?? Sorry for being slightly off topic. AND, FOR THE RECORD, I never thought off pressing the RADIO POWER BUTTON to play the radio with the ignition OFF. My default is always to just push the START/STOP button. I learned something new today?
  11. You should have the keyfob in the car - press push button start/stop (do not step on the brake pedal) - radio should turn on. That is how it works on my 2017. I am assuming it should be the sme as the 2020.
  12. Great tips are all over the forum - not sure what you are looking for. But if you mean tips on having Lincoln Way into your 2015, you may have to convert your system. As an example: By the way, Congrats on your new ride. Welcome!
  13. I would think you have already scoured the vehicle configuration/settings on the instrument panel, am I right?
  14. I had to read and re-read to understand the issue but I am a little confused. There were vehicles I owned in the past the have 3 switch positions for the interior lights. Does your switch happen to have "ON", "OFF" and "DOOR" position with the latter being in the middle position?
  15. I may be wrong but I went back to check on @drolds1 statement and it seems to me that he is implying it works and on his 2017 and (2020) using the steering wheel buttons and not the LincolnWay app.
  16. Two things: 1. This could be vehicle year difference. I have the same display as @esqueue. Both of us have 2017. @fusionff has a 2018. Anyone else want to verify with their respective vehicle year? 2. App difference. There is only 1 Lincoln Way app, am I right? May I know what version do you have?
  17. Ruling out a few things. Did you physically checked if the door was indeed locked after the keyfob press? If it locks but not unlock, perhaps it is not totally an actuator issue. It could be a door latch issue which I just saw, upon searching, there was a recall for your model year. Not sure if your particular case is relevant to the recall but may be worth checking out if your vehicle is affected. Before venturing into replacing stuff, did you check if the latch is obstructed, dirty, full of gunk, etc? All of those will prevent the mechanism function properly. Got WD40? ?
  18. Good to know. Thanks for the info.
  19. Could be the actuator but it did lock with the key fob, right? Are you able to trigger lock/unlock using the door buttons?
  20. Let us know how it handles.
  21. Snow? Already? If you don't mind me asking, where are you?
  22. Regardless of what your intentions are or sound quality perception or integration with your system etc., you can use an aftermarket amp for that matter. What you want to do is take the high level output from the rear speakers or sub and connect it into a line out converter. The low level signal from the LoC is then fed to an aftermarket amplifier of your choice. The amplifier's speaker terminals are then connected back to the speakers. Does that make sense?
  23. Technically not hijacking the thread. Just wanted to ask a relevant question. I non-member friend has the same 2017 3.0 AWD as mine and is looking for the same caliper cover mentioned here. They are apparently is on sale now at a 3rd party retailer. Question: Is there any difference with the 2.0 and 3.0 caliper dimension/size? The retailer is listing the product as for "all MKZ models" but when he checks it at the manufacturer's website (MGP) the part numbers for 2.0 and 3.0 are different. Retailer says they guarantee it will fit across all MKZ models (2017+). What do you think?
