  1. Just to close on this. The service manager returned my email stating that "the particular part is not removed to perform the recall" but they would like me to bring in the vehicle to make it right. By the way, the email I sent contains the same video I posted here. It was unfortunate the technician who performed the recall did not see it - it was right next to the hose that was replaced and there's no way to not be in contact with the part regardless if it needs to be removed or not. Maybe I have been driving this vehicle for the last 45K miles like this.
  2. I also sent an email to the service manager and called the dealership immediately. But being a weekend, the service manager is not there neither was the service advisor who handled my recall. I had several service issues with this dealership so am I bit wary of bringing my vehicle for service there. The service manager is very accommodating though - it is the people who perform the job they are supposed to be an expert that I have mixed feelings. Any wild guess what would have happened if I hadn't found out? I will ask Ford. Happy Weekend and Thanks for replying.
  3. You are correct about it being upside down, too. I already flipped it before I sent the update here. That part is now tight and not moving at all.
  4. Dealership is closed already. Email sent to service manager. Being a weekend, I am up and about checking my vehicle. I saw some tiny residual brake fluid drip on the garage floor so I decided to wipe it off. I noticed there is a part that is kinda loose (passenger side). I thought that was odd so I check the driver's side and found out the same part is nice and tight. Big favor needed to whoever is tinkering with their car today if wouldn't you mind checking? I cannot explain what's the name of the part so I will try to post a video. Thank you. Passenger side(1) (1).mp4
  5. Repair / brake hose replacement is complete for my vehicle.
  6. I got a letter sometime ago informing me about the recall and remedy is available. Just waiting to hear back from the dealership anytime today - as they promised.
  7. I had my vehicle towed today for this (I think). I discovered a good amount of puddle of what it seems like brake fluid on my garage floor coming from where the front of the vehicle was. We were extremely lucky since my family were just on a 6-hr out of state travel. The day after the travel, coming from work, as soon as I pulled into my garage, I felt my brake pedal was "soft" and depressed down to the floor. I left it the way it is overnight and was ready to drive the vehicle for work again. I backed up and thought the brakes "are not right", left the car in the driveway. I as walk going inside the garage, I saw the puddle. Any of you guys experience this?
  8. Do let us know how you make out. I probably can't do what you're planning to do so I might just drop it off a body shop. There's no tools needed to pull these trims, just pull it off, am I right? Thanks.
  9. Has anyone successfully painted these trims?
  10. Got my vehicle back yesterday. Apparently there was some air bubbles in the system. Yesterday and this morning, the coolant level in the reservoir sits above the max level.
  11. Guess what? I will be bringing the vehicle back tomorrow. I believe I'm still loosing coolant "somewhere". When I reported the burning smell once I got my vehicle, I checked the coolant reservoir to be way below the minimum level. I checked it again after it was parked overnight and found it at the same level. I added coolant today (between min and max level) before going for a 6-mile trip. Immediately upon return, I checked it again - coolant is way below the min level. I'm writing this 3 hours after that trip and the coolant is on the same level. I did not see any liquid dripping unlike before the service but I do see a wet spot - attached picture.
  12. It's not on the ticket and was not told about the actual labor hour/s performed, either. Just verbally telling me they had difficulty fitting the original part before realizing there's a new p/n altogether that they themselves were not informed. True or False - wouldn't really know ?
