  1. I think I discovered the source of the sound! While crawling around under the back end, I discovered two holes in the bottom of the muffler. both were dripping water and were surrounded by oxidation and scale from road salt. when I held my finger softly under the holes the rhythmic puffing/thumping sound was duplicated. spoke with dealer about replacing muffler, but when we researched the part, turns out the two holes are there on purpose, not due to rust. So I bought it! Got a price that made me smile and had a super smooth ride home. Already have the Lincoln Way app starting the MKZ remotely. Have fun and be mellow!
  2. was about to pick a new to me used 2017 mkz 2.o awd when I noticed the rhythmic thumping from under the driver side rear floor. was about 120 hz, seemed most like exhaust leak, turbo, egr, cat, or vibrating muffler. I put purchase on hold and dealer is going to investigate. has anyone found answers to this noise? thanks
  3. Congrats on the new whip! Enjoy it in health.
  4. (stole my name...) JK! Was really impressed with how amazing it just felt to take the test drive! I agree with you. I'm looking at a 2017 2.0 AWD Reserve. Enjoy your ride, Jamie!
  5. King_Jayythann, would love to see pictures of the new wheels!
  6. myfirstAbraham, headed toward buying my first Lincoln. A bit of a surprise to me after 280Z, Blazer, Bronco, Tercel, Accord, Odyssey, Wrangler, Focus, Pacifica. However the test drive blew the Fusion, Taurus, and Jetta away. Also happy to be buying an American (via Mexico) vehicle. I think it is going to be the perfect long haul highway vehicle. Enjoy your MKZ in good health!

Voorhees, Great car and great Kawi! I'm looking into a used 2017 2.0 Reserve AWD and I think it is the car for me! I'm on a 2007 Ducati 1098 when on two wheels. Happy to get your good idea of an air filter upgrade.
  8. TomV, great looking car! I am looking into a 2017 2.0T AWD Reserve. Test ride felt great, a huge difference from many Fusions I've driven. I think it is going to be perfect for long highway drives.
  9. Looks great wet, NOPOWER! I'm purchasing a 2017 2.0T AWD Reserve for some long distance highway driving.
