I'm thinking the world at least thinks the MKZ is cool. I get a lot of compliments on my 2008, even before people see it. :)

I was feeling productive today and finally replaced the broken interior door panel on my 2008 MKZ today. I was surprised how easy it was. And for anyone who has this issue, there's a great youtube video explaining the repair. And if you have this issue, you can open the handle half way and pull the lock lever, which will pop the door open until you can replace the handle.

24.1 mpg on the highway with my 2008 fwd MKZ (with about 108,000 miles on it).

In Ford's massive recall just announced, almost 83,000 MKZ's, Zephyrs, Fusions, and Milans are being recalled due to floor mats that may interfere with the accelerator pedal. This affects 2006 through 2011 vehicles. You can see the article at finance.yahoo.com/news/ford.

Welcome to the forum. I don't think you can go wrong with any MKZ, but I've only driven gas engine models and am quite satisfied with my high mileage 2008 model.

I'm definitely keeping it. I've only had it for about six months. I'll think about a newer one when this one hits 200,000 miles. :)

Not very many. I've had it for a few months, but the previous two owners put a lot of highway miles on it. I plan on putting at least the next 100,000 on it though. It still drives the way it looks. :)
