I recently had to replace my 2013 MKZ Hybrid passenger door latch as it would not close and latch, my wife had to hold it closed while driving to the dealership! The Ford dealership ran my vin number and told me the recall did not apply to my vehicle? It seems a strange coincidence the recall was for a 2013 MKZ door latch but NOT my vehicle? The replacement part cost $167.72 and installation $160. I bought this car 3 years ago, is there anyway I can find out what recalls have been issued that the previous owner may not have done.
