  1. I just upgraded and traded my 2016 3.7L AWD to a 2020 3.0TT AWD my in town driving at speeds between 30 and 40 mph. I'm seeing 19 mpg and it just keeps getting better even if I drive it in sport and drive her hard. That sounds she makes it's as if she's talking back I'm thirsty GIVE ME MORE GAS and I do and mpg is nothing what I thought it would be. It must be the intelligent AWD and it's ability to run in FWD and when you feel the need to Romp on it you can feel all 4 wheels pushing and pulling down the road. Whatever you do don't buy a 2.0T it eats more gas than the 3.0TT I forgot to mention I'm running 91 non ethanol octane fuel. I'm almost afraid to drop down to 87 octane my 3.7L NA loved 87 but not the 2020 3.0 TT AWD is light-years above the 2016 I could talk about it's creature comforts but that's for another thread in summary the 91 non ethanol premium gas at my local pump is getting conservatively 18-19 mpg in town with speeds of 30 to 40 mph. The trek home was from the dealer 7 hours away was mostly 60 mph i got 27 to 28 mpg.

  2. @Droids1 a friend of mine has a 2017 3.0 AWD and under load his rear end make a swishing noise and once at cruising speed it goes away. It has 94,000 miles on it and the RDU has not been serviced

    Thanks

You're lucky to have access to 100% gasoline.  You'll always get better fuel mileage with that vs. gasoline with 10% ethanol, which reduces MPG by 3-4%

Your 3.7 is tuned to use 87 octane fuel.  You won't get any more performance out of it by using 91 or higher octane fuel.  It's not the same case as with Ford's turbocharged engines.

Droids1 - since the cost of fuel had gone through the roof I switched to 87 octane regular unleaded for my 3.7 NA. I'm getting about 18 mpg in town driving when I never saw 16 mpg using the non ethanol 91 if gas ever drops I won't go back that 18 is with the air on cold enough to hang meat almost lol.

  4. After much shegrin I decided to create my own Facebook group and after several months of tweaking the rules I created a PG rates group free speech at the top of the agenda  with a few exceptions treat everyone as you'd like to be treated, There has been almost zero drama and if anyone starts it they find the door rather quick that has been rare. Scan this QR CODE and you'll be greated with asking 2 questions and agreeing to a set of rules the rules are open and honest unlike the other groups I've belonged to.

  5. My Lincoln/Ford dealer dropped Lincoln and Lincoln sent me a letter stating i can have all my Service work done at any Ford dealer. I have Lincolns Premium Care ESP the only one that covers the rear shocks it's the top dog. I bought thier best one when at 31k miles I took my car in for PTU fluid change and it was shot they wouldn't let me drive it home. Anyway that's why I bought thier best warranty I can afford a 100 deductible but not thousands the DRL is 1100 bucks crazy so all that's covered under high tech, electronics but your radio is covered under Audio https://lincolnprotect.lincoln.com/premiumcare as long as you have PREMIUMCARE it's almost a bumper to bumper but it's not

  6. I am quite frankly sick of Facebooks stupid rules. Words that were once fine to use in a company of your friends somehow can't be used or they put you in detention it's really depressing it sure would be nice If it were easy to just transfer those members into this forum or create a subgroup

They are making a mistake they should make a slightly larger BEV MKZ available only in dual motors and a Vista roof. Colors Burgundy Velvet Metalic, Candy Red Metalic, White Platinum Metalic - all headliners only available in Alcantara  - the White Platinum Metalic around have an option of red seats with an off White headliner they also need ro bring back the red Alcantara headliner if they kept the color options at a minimum you could have a high quality at lower prices. But average Joe consumer doesn't know what people want. Everyone wants an SUV of course. Only enough in this market the only unsold vehicles on the lot are SUVs I have to drive 1,000 miles to find an MKZ. If everyone wanted SUVs there would be lots full of sedans

  8. Dealer cost of the 4G upgrade kit is $267 and from what I read you MUST pay for the part in advance the labor is free if when you place the order its still working and then the 4G modem will give you a 4 to 5 year trial. Inuse it all the time to make detailed notations when something is fixed under warranty. Because when the dealer posts the repair it's vague. It's nice to have a digital detailed service history on the vehicle. I've also heard that different dealers are charging different prices. That's what I read on a different forum they advised to call around not sure how that works since the dealer will need the 3g modem back as a core not sure why. My dealer has made a ton of money off my car for repairs $4,000 in parts my cost plus labor maybe they will cut me a deal we shall see.

I believe Ford has a customer satisfaction program (21B09) covering the upgrade.  Labor is covered, parts are not.  The 4G modem is $300+.  This reminds me of when the original GM Onstar units became useless after analog networks were phased out.

Wouldn't my Premium Care ESP warranty cover this part because under the Audio section of the warranty it says Cellular Phone, Receiver, Handset, Speaker Assembly and Antenna (Factory Installed) is covered. Thoughts?

  10. BUY TGE BEST PREMIUM CARE WARRANTY BEFORE THE factory is gone. You can get a disappearing deductible. I freaked on my Certified Pre-Owned MKZ when I took it in for the PTU fluid change and they told me it was leaking BAD in 3 spots I Called Concierge and increased the length of the warranty had I known at the time you can get a disappearing deductible I would have done it. LINCOLN has paid out in parts alone it sounds miniscule compared to you $4800.00 and I haven't even paid the warranty in full yet. I went for the payment plan anyway mine covers everything except brake pads and rotors oil changes any fluid change really. Preventative maintenance is not covered but it covers all the expensive stuff I hope it's not to late and you aren't waiting for the factory to run out cuz the more miles and expired factory warranty the more you'll pay for an extended. I have a LOVE hate relationship with my MKZ as well. You said the ventilated seat fans aren't working that's more than likely the module under the passenger seat. My heated seats work so well since it was fixed it almost burns my butt our seats have 2 Peltier devices in them one in the seat and one in the back. When you run current thru one way they heat then you reverse polarity it cools the heat part blows over 100 degree heat the the seats

WAS YOUR CAR BUILT ON A FRIDAY? Because mine was. All my repairs were done in 8 000 miles. If the car isn't parked in my garage it's at the dealer. Seems like most of your repairs are cosmetic. If you Facebook join the MKZ Enthusiasts group they would love to hear your story they think I'm nuts and making some stuff up at least you have a good service advisor mine is well i will say I can do thier job better at this point

Hi All My Username is Takeshi,

I have incepted a CPO 2017 Lincoln Black Label 3.0T AWD MKZ As of End of December 2018.

    • I have had nothing but ISSUES Since then. Lincoln Warranty, Lincoln Concierge, and my Local Dealership has helped me out greatly which I am very appreciative. However it is getting to that time. in 7 Months My original Warranty will expire and my CPO Warranty will take affect.
    • My Service advisor who has worked with my Since January of 2019 has advised me to get rid of it after the Original 50k / 4 Year Expires as the CPO will cost $100 for each warranty visit plus it might not fully cover all the parts and repairs.
    • As My vehicle is the top trim the parts are quite expensive and hard to come by for some averaging around 1-4k on Each Warranty repair for parts alone.
    • Thus I am wondering if I should move onto my next car before Warranty expires or keep on with this and pray for the best?

What are you guys's experience with your car and how often have you taken it in for Warranty? Below is a timeline of cost, parts, and warranty repair done to my vehicle for everyone's information and opinion on this current situation?

    • Respect Your Service Advisor! Work with them they're Human beings too!
    • Lincoln Concierge is Splendid working with them always on Top of Cases.
    • I LOVE MY MKZ with It's Massaging Heated / Cooled Seats and 20 Speaker Revel System and Interior Venetian Leather and Design : But I Dunno if I can keep Visiting the Dealership : They know me on a monthly basis now.
    • I don't think I could pay for future repairs if they're not covered by Lincoln with parts costing this much.
    • Is this amount of problems only on Black Label MKZ's? Is THIS WHY THEY STOPPED Making them After 2018 !?!?!??!
    • To Sell it As Warranty Ends And Cut my losses
    •  Continue and hope for the best with $100 CPO Warranty repair visits?

  12. If your car is tuned it's not stock engine it as far as sync 3 the base sync 3 Is crap as it didn't have navigation and I wrote this post before I realized Google maps doesn't use hardly any data. Either I wasn't used to sync 3 or it's clunky switching between android auto and satellite radio. I could tell Samantha to turn up the heat sync 3 wouldn't in the Base 2020 it was then first 2.0 I drove and wasn't impressed considering it had only 6,000 ,miles onmmit.

I couldn't keep the car in comfort one time I had to floor it CRAZY TAMPA DRIVERS it for stuck in a a low gear I had to pull over stop and take it out of sport. The ONLY thing I like about the car was the adaptive cruise and braking technology and brake hold

So, your car. What was increased with the tune? The reason i kept the loaner in sport was to keep that turbo spooled up. 18.4mpg in town vs my big v6 16.9

  13. Yup, it was fixed the end of February sometime. Lincoln logged into my account on an iPhone and oil life was there then they logged into it on an android and it wasn't. It took only about a month from my phone call to Lincoln pushing out the fix. Not bad in my opinion, they had to fix the app and ready it for selling car insurance. TESLA is leading the pack they are offering or going to offer insurance and Lincoln needs to keep up. Now it I could use my phone instead of my key fob ths t would be a,axing

    $3600 is outright insane.

Frankly, I think $1000+ is overpriced.  The China price of $600ish is the max you should pay.

$500 or (much) less for APIM/screen/hub/adapter is easy to achieve if you buy a used APIM.

After having a 2020 base MKZ as a loaner for a week I'm not a fan of the new sync or I just couldn't figure it out. It didn't have navigation it had ANDRIOD auto which if I had unlimited data which I don't I would never use AND the seat doesn't move back as far as mine does (2016) and the steering wheel doesn't move enough that base Lincoln isn't worth 32k sorry the 2 liter turbo is useless it doesn't save gas and it struggles to cool the cabin

    Greetings,

Looking to upgrade my 14 Mkzh SYNC 2 to newer 17+ SYNC 3.

I seen SYNC 3 kit prices between $670 up to $1300.  Any experiences with cheaper one from Chyna?   Some kits now sell for $900 range not sure if it's going to go down any further.  My current budget is $500 and under due to age of my vehicle.  Please post here any deals here.

Go here https://www.4dtech.com/  pinch in the make and model it's a 1700 dollar cost for one that's programmed to my car. The Lincoln dealer wants 3600 bucks I have a 2016 with navigation and

  16. Every since they they pushed out an update her 3.14.0 I've lost the ability to see my oil life percentage. As on the 3.15.0 version they were aware of the issue on Samsung aka Android devices. Lincoln Concierge logged into my account on an iPhone and the oil life is there. The most recent version update they pushed out was 3.16.0 I was excited it's fixed well it isn't. I've heard of other features disappearing since that 3.14.0 version. I'd be willing to pay for a one time payment for the app as long as it worked

Hi BB. All the information I provided above concerning tire ratings, the speed limiter/satellite radio/NAV system etc, was correct. We were discussing the top speed limiter, and whether "Lincoln knows" where our car is via "satellite radio".  Now you are discussing the embedded modem. That would be an entirely different discussion.

Hopefully that makes clearer what we were discussing.

    Good luck.

If you can locate your car on your Lincoln Way app they know where you are at all times if "they" wanted to. As far as speed I wouldn't race this car unless the PTU had fresh gear oil in it before racing it and drain and fill after. Ford/Lincoln should have let the AWD  controlled in the back that's how it's done in the explorer and aviator as well as the navigator that's why the sedans are gonecan you keep up I know there are several topics I'm speaking with just you (bbf2530) if I with the Lincoln Way app can see via satellite it's 2 way Ford and Lincoln Way more it's free for the life of the car for a reason selling my data and I'm cool with that and yes I know what you were discussing I just thought you could track a programming topic along with mechanical parts and the reason Ford and Lincoln no longer sells sedans. CADILAC does sell AWD SEDANS because they place the engine in the car longitudinal and the car is RWD biased. Go pop the hood on a new Ford Explorer the engine is longitudinal it's built correctly maybe Ford will bring back the MKZ in an EV oh dear more topics in one comment
