  1. Oh boy you need a new quarter panel, bumper cover LED daylight running light I'd be concerned about the adaptive headlight down the road if that isn't broken the bumper cover is at least 2500 to fix Plus headlight assembly oh dear 1200 bucks I'm guessing what was the bill if youmdont mine me asking. This is my car after buying it I wouldn't allow the dealer to attempt a detail the back bumper had a scratch on it and after their failed attempt at buffing it out I told them to quit while you're ahead my detailer took 2 days to fix the spider webbing and swirl marks and that rear bumper scratch gone. I thought he painted it
  2. The gas I put in my last 2 cars have been non ethanol premium unleaded it's at most every station because of the large boating community that require non ethanol I could care less the cost of A tank if gas. We used to have racing fuel what's the max octane my 3.7L V6 can handle
  3. Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 245/40 R19 98Y my 2016 Lincoln AWD 3.7L V6 came with those junk tires you had the tiger paws by uniroyal. The first snowfall last year I T RIED AND TRIED to put the car in a 4 wheel spin and couldn't. Even attempted in a vacant parking lot with the wheel cracked and goosed it. It would not spin. The to get paws first year winter 2018 I went into an uncontrollable four wheel spin I fishtailed like it was a RWD car. I tried multiple times from a dead stop and it took off as if I was on dry pavement. People complain about road noise with them but I'd rather have traction than no traction and w quiet as as mouse. The only tire noise I noticed was on newly concrete on the interstates near me I haven't hit any super smooth blacktop https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?message=singleSize&tireMake=Continental&tireModel=ExtremeContact+DWS+06&width=245%2F&ratio=40&diameter=19&autoMake=Lincoln&autoYear=2016&autoModel=MKZ+3.7L+V6+AWD&autoModClar=&minLoadRating=S&minSpeedRating=H&cameFrom=selectOE&partnum=44YR9DWS06XL
  4. Tires that come on cars today suck ALSO the recommended psi is about 2 pounds to low. The new lighter weight 3 liter twin turbo AWD MKZ the door sticker states 38psi. My 3.7L V6 is heavier in front than the 3.0T. Lower psi in tires makes them wear faster my Continental DWS06 can handle 51psi now I would NEVER EVER INFLATE mine that high the car isn't heavy enough
  5. There service manager said the only 3.7L V6s that have come in is ONE POLICE INTERCEPTOR they get a special fleet warranty free of charge (WHICH THEY SHOULD) for the life of the vehicle so that engine which was blown due to a water pump leak happened on a car that runs almost 24/7. As far as my new PTU they installed the updated one like what is on the newer 2018s in the FordTechMakuloco YouTube videos it just doesn't have the water jacket to help cool the unit. I paid to have the rear end oil replaced and it too was discolored and that doesnt see much heat other than friction. I thought for sure Ford would pit out a great vehicle I almost went with an Acura TLX 3.5L V6 SH-AWD but that 9 speed transmission seemed to have to much going on
  6. NEW POWER TRANSFER UNIT Or PTU was installed today under my Premium Care Extended Warranty which ended in 2022 and Ford doesn't know if they will extend it again at my expense. How can a company Certify a vehicle with 2 MASSIVE PROBLEMS with the car. Now I have to be on the lookout for the water pump issue. Does anyone know of a recommended time frame to change that pump b4 it becomes a blown engine. That's right guys when the water pump fails coolant mixes with the engine oil because the pump is housed within the engine it's timing chain ran. I know my Honda Accord said every 100,000 miles the timing belt and water pump needed replacing. Will the 3.7L V6 last that long before failure or should I plan on replacing it at 50k miles the engine oil is changed more often than recommended I do it at 50% life. That life meter ticks time I lost 2% in a week while my car sat at the dealer waiting for a part and the PTU replaced ZERO miles driven
  7. I have a 2016 Lincoln AWD 3.7L V6 I took my car in for preventative maintenance of the PTU. Normally it should be changed at 30k miles. Let's first back up to jul y 2019 when they replace the shaft seal then fast forward to July 2020 and only drove the car 1600 miles in 1 year. 31,159 miles and the PTU IS JUNK recommended NOT TO DRIVE it until the part came in and coukd be replaced. Mind you this car had 25k miles on it when I bought it. It's a CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED LINCOLN it came with a drive train warranty ending in January 2022 or get this originally 100,000 miles they decreased the miles by 30k now 70k miles. I know I'd never hit the miles but come on man. Changing the miles after I bought it? I have no idea if I can extend the power train past 2022 until they decide to send a letter IF AND ONLY IF THEY STILL OFFER IT. What a crock!!! Ive been changing my engine oil once it hits 50% just in case it will save that water pump. They claim the water pump was fixed for my model year but how can i believe them when the PTU fails at 31k miles I hope the new one comes with a drain plug the factory one did not because in 2016 it was still a lifetime oil
  8. One would think adding auto folding mirrors could be a software update. Push and hold the mirror button for 3 seconds and you hear a beep signifying and mirrors would auto fold when locked and unfold when unlocked. I know I can add a digital speedometer option to my car with a simple software update $140 USD at the Lincoln dealer. Why not the mirrors? 2016 Lincoln MKZ AWD 3.7L V6
