  1. Hey Tom, Thanks for the follow up. There might be two factors that could make this differences that makes your system sound better :)! One is you have a newer hardware revision of the AMP (Learned this from BMW, they sent out a mass SIB for HK [TSB ford equiv] showing certain bad amps during a certain time period from Harman Kardon) versus my early 2017 model Amp built with Corona beer Friday. Guess Don't Quote : The use the two different Front Mid-Range speakers. HP5Z-18808-F seems like it's specifically for the 20 Speaker system Versus DP5Z-18808-H which seems to indicate it being used in both the 11 and 14 Speaker system (If this is true still Shame on Lincoln for reusing the Mid Range speaker lol). Did you only change the rear mid range speakers when you did the upgrade? Nice congrats on your extra low end! It must be thumping in your sweet ride!
  2. Ninja-ing on here after 2.5 Years of parting with my Lincoln Lemon. I still miss the Revel Ultima sound system the most even though it's flawed XD. You cannot have everything from Driving dynamics to a good sound system with a comfy ride unless you buy like a Bentley Continental... I've been through three cars after the Lincoln. 2018 Orange Ford Mustang GT with Shaker (450 Watt 12 Speajer Piece of Crap no bass or clarity) 2019 Black Ford Mustang GT with B&O Better (1000 Watt 12 Speaker with some clarity and a lot of Muddy Bass) [Current] 2020 BMW M340i with Harman Karden (464 Watt Watt 16 Speaker with decent clarity and some Bass) Overall the Revel 20 Speaker Ultimata has one of the best sound clarify of Frequency reproduction. However Shame on you Lincoln for reusing the same Algorithm DSP Amplifier Box for the MKZ it should of been a different algorithm so that way the MIDS Reach my ears at the same time as the treble not causing the crazy S's and T's shrieks of Sibilance because none of my new cars even come close to the harsh shrieks. NO IT IS NOT a source problem. It is ultimately Lincoln's problem for using the the exact same Continental Modeled DSP / Amp for the MKZ with different speaker placements which the DSP timings will not align in which results in the consequence of Sibilance production.
  3. Hi Fred, I had this happen to my MKZ as well it happens every now and then when I am pressing it hard. However for the year I had it nothing was seriously wrong even with the burning smell occasionally happening when I pushed the car hard . I am assuming it is a by product of the two turbos and premium gasoline while pushing the engine.
  4. Hi Scott, My vehicle was deemed lemon law buy back. However they're not letting me get the full retail trade since it's a used vehicle :(. They are only allowing me to get new vehicle not any CPO's sadly :(. Should I sell have them repurchase the vehicle or how should i approach in getting a Full Retail trade for my CPO MKZ?
  5. Hi MKZ22, Never try to intentionally coast unless you are coming to a stop then let it coast away to recharge energy. The point is too keep a steady foot on the acceleration pedal especially when accelerating to cruising speed limit speeds on electric battery alone, thus the power required to get you to speed is all done by the battery in which does not count towards mpg usage or raises it. When your cruising your using relatively minimum gas or if gliding no gas at all. I averaged anywhere between 45-60 MPG City and 38-42 on Highway. At Highway speeds you will most likely never use DC or the battery to propel or cruise as there is too much energy required to keep the car in momentum and thus the most efficient way is too keep a steady Foot pressure on the gas pedal for your cruise travel or use the adaptive cruise control.
  6. Agreed I figured this out through Jim F's comment it's more likely due to road salt. This probably made my day it makes sense now ?. I would have never thought of that since the south West coast never experiences snow. That leads up to another question then, if the Venetian Leather is coated properly to resist Road-Salt or not which might be a defect or after thought in craftsmanship then. All the points of wear seem to make sense ; being the most likely points of contact & brushing with the average person point of contact with salt and then transitioning it to the vehicle.
  7. Hi Fusion, No one cleaned it with undiluted solutions, it was probably from sweaty hands and body oils. From inspections the points are at the most wear and tear points, the door handle, driver seat bottom and back outer bolsters from getting in and out. It seems cold weather and UV rays infringe on the structural integrity of the Venetian Leather specifically . I do think the vehicle has been mistreated probably through lack of hygiene. However the Dash covers had clips so that's just bad luck ?and the seat AC/ Heat blower / Radio bezel instrument panels seem like bad luck with with electronics too. I have posted pictures below for the leather old and new. The new leather cover is actually showing leather veins recently in winter similar to the old leather cover .
  8. Hi Deniz Y, I recently had this problem nothing can be fixed a full replacement is required. Please Take it to the dealership A.S.A.P. They have to Diagnosis and replace the entire Radio Bezel AKA Instrument Panel piece. It'll Take them an entire day to Diagnosis for various test since it's an extremely expensive piece. They piece might be on back order since my dealership has had two of the same instance of replacing the Radio Bezel within the past two months. It seems like your vehicle is affected as well now so thus it's probably a 2017 MKZ Wide problem and multiple vehicles are experiencing this around winter time when we use our HVAC to heat our cabins more.
  9. Hi TomV I am a part of the Sunny Golden state, but the Vehicle was in New Hampshire for the first 30,000 miles of its life. The Dealership probably masked the fading before it came to me. From there it was getting pretty bad. The Windows were not tinted before hand nor did the previous owner used any of his 4 Annual Detailing for the Black Label Interior and Exterior. Thus I believe the vehicle was not meticulously cared for and Dirt and SunRays breached into the Exotic material. I have Tinted the Windows myself after acquiring the vehicle. I also clean the new Leather Covers Monthly and put conditioner to not have the same fate occur again. (They get dirty and Veiny ridiculously quickly if you Daily it) IF they ever make a new RWD Lincoln Sedan or Coupe I am down. As of currently I am soo not into the Aviator or CUV Hype Train. Hi bbf2530, Yeah it seems the used of Finer material infringes on the overall longterm Quality and Reliability as it might not have been fully thought out with fading and cracking on the materials too not include Window UV Resistant Glass from Factory, of to adjust for the various panel Fit and Finish structure. Hi Scott, Yeah same thing with my service Advisor and he works for Ford Lincoln Dealership ?‍♂️. I will try and outreach to Concierge and if they can get understand the situation and get me a different new or CPO MKZ 3.0T/Hybrid or a used Aviator with Lux II Package for a Good price. Thanks for All the Reply and Thoughts Y'll.
  10. Hi All My Username is Takeshi, I have incepted a CPO 2017 Lincoln Black Label 3.0T AWD MKZ As of End of December 2018. I have had nothing but ISSUES Since then. Lincoln Warranty, Lincoln Concierge, and my Local Dealership has helped me out greatly which I am very appreciative. However it is getting to that time. in 7 Months My original Warranty will expire and my CPO Warranty will take affect. My Service advisor who has worked with my Since January of 2019 has advised me to get rid of it after the Original 50k / 4 Year Expires as the CPO will cost $100 for each warranty visit plus it might not fully cover all the parts and repairs. As My vehicle is the top trim the parts are quite expensive and hard to come by for some averaging around 1-4k on Each Warranty repair for parts alone. Thus I am wondering if I should move onto my next car before Warranty expires or keep on with this and pray for the best? What are you guys's experience with your car and how often have you taken it in for Warranty? Below is a timeline of cost, parts, and warranty repair done to my vehicle for everyone's information and opinion on this current situation? *Prices are full MSRP before any Discounts and Dealer prices markdown also are rounded for easier estimate Calculations * January : Leather Cracking (not just the veins, you can see the black spots below the Dye) : Warranty Denied Saying it has been tampered with (my service advisor called B.S.) : Took 2 Months for Parts Repairs Lincoln Concierge Helped out Ultimate Bill : $61 Leather Seat Back Cover : $1700 Leather Seat Bottom Cover : $1200 Trunk Lid Button: Faded : Warranty Accepted : Replaced LED Strip with Button : $120 March: Leather Seat Cracking Passenger Side + Leather Fading on Both Passenger And Driver Door Handles Warranty Accepted : Entire Driver & Passenger Door Panel and only Passenger bottom cover | Denied Passenger Back Leather Cover : (says seat looks fine) Driver Door Panel : $4,000 Passenger Door Panel : $4000 Passenger Seat Bottom Cover : $1200 May-August Rattling on Dash (it was annoying as hell) : Better Service Advisor Proposed to Redo Passenger Back Seat Cover due to Lament Being Shown. I LOVE MY MKZ with It's Massaging Heated / Cooled Seats and 20 Speaker Revel System and Interior Venetian Leather and Design : But I Dunno if I can keep Visiting the Dealership : They know me on a monthly basis now. I don't think I could pay for future repairs if they're not covered by Lincoln with parts costing this much. Is this amount of problems only on Black Label MKZ's? Is THIS WHY THEY STOPPED Making them After 2018 !?!?!??! To Sell it As Warranty Ends And Cut my losses Continue and hope for the best with $100 CPO Warranty repair visits? 11. Hi BBF2530, Yes you understood perfectly! Thank you so much for clarifying! It was funky when I was in cold weather and the blower is not working correctly to raise the Ambient temperature from the dashboard reading. I will take it in for service again ? I've seen them too many times in the past month they're totally gonna hate me lol.
  12. Hi bbf2530, Oh Snap really is your HVAC System working properly say you set it to anywhere between 69-74 and it's like 60-67 outside does your system still blow hot air or cold air with AC on or without ac on (just fan)? I thought this was normal and it was a software issue I will ping my ford dealership next time I come in for my heated seats repair (both my driver and passenger heated seats blower are dead =<( 41,000 miles in and winter too boot) .
  13. Please tell me how this goes. I wanna see if I should attempt to complain too. I don't get hot air until I set it to 72 + but it has to be also and at least 14-15 degrees warmer then the outside temperature too to blow cold air. So if outside is 60 and I set my HVAC temperature to 72 it will still blow cold air until I push my 3.0 T engine semi hard then the air travels from the heat generated by the engine.
  14. Just an FYI. Your buying a car which is essentially a 2013 Architecture . It is not a re-design. they are literally just barely scraping by putting whatever features available they can for the MKZ / Continental. If you want a fully decked out lincoln with the latest feature such as Phone as they key just get the Lincoln Corsair or Lincoln Aviator they are the new cars and new architecture and has your new feature and competes with the new 2020/2019 Chevy / Hyundai. Your comparing a 2013 Orange to a 2020 Orange is kind of out of the park. If you compared it to any older car and architecture you see $$ per $$ Lincoln probably has more features and quality for the dollar. That's just my two cents.
  15. Totally recommend Fire Stone Indy 500 If your looking for Performance with a little cheaper price. Notice only summer tires so no snow driving. Link below. https://www.firestonetire.com/tire/firehawk-indy-500/245-40r19
