  1. Thanks for the replies. We have a 2017 MKZ 2.0 AWD w/20K+ miles. I have to push the memory button more than once (usually twice). The issue has been there since day-1. It’s an annoyance at worst but if others had the issue and there’s a fix, that would be fantastic.
  2. Hmmm...dealer says it's NOT a bearing. I need four (4) new tires. Not passing the smell test...
  3. Does anyone hear a humming sound, similar to a worn/wearing bearing, coming from the rear of the car? There are 33K miles on our 2017 2.0 AWD. The cabin used to be VERY quiet before the humming started.
  4. Does anyone else have to push the Seat Position Memory button several times to get the seat and mirrors to move back to the right positions?
  5. Follow-up post...almost 2 years later... I’ve only heard the noise twice myself, my wife is the primary driver. The 1st time was at the dealer the day we picked-up the car. The 2nd was in my driveway the day I posted on this blog. My wife heard the noise a 3rd time as well around the same date. Bottom-line is that our experience with the car has been very positive all-things-considered. No regrets...
  6. Thanks for posting the problem. We have a 2017 2.0 as well, but haven’t experienced the problem.

  8. Hmmm...we got a 2017 2.0 AWD Select, w/Select Plus package and Power Moonroof for $34.9K (plus tax, tags, fees) with 0.0% financing for 60 months. The car had 275 miles on the odometer. That sounded good to us...
  9. Have you heard the knocking noise described above?
  10. Hmmm...maybe using the 285hp as the base engine makes the $4K jump to the 400hp V6 even harder to swallow - i.e., a disincentive to buy the 3.0.
  11. Congratulations...that blue is striking. We bought a similarly equipped 2017 2.0 AWD last month but without the Climate Package. Oh well..."You can't always git wha'chu woant." - The Roling Stones. We're very happy with the car. We replaced a 2009 Infiniti G37x sedan. We test drove all three (3) models: 3.0 AWD, 2.0 AWD, Hybrid. The 400 hp was 3.0 was, as my teenage son would say, "sick." But, the 2.0 was certainly no slacker at all in comparison. QUESTION: We have heard a rhythmic knocking noise that seems to occur after the car has been idling for several minutes - e.g., 10+ minutes. I'm 95% sure that it's coming from underneath the car. It seems to be loudest at the floor just behind the front seats. It MAY even be centered more toward the driver's side of the car. Has anyone else heard the same kinda thing? Any ideas? The sales guys heard it as well. We took it back to have Service check-out the issue and they came-up really small of course, saying they didn't hear anything. I don't know about anyone here, but I've NEVER met a Dealer's Service Department that I've liked.
  12. Total BS... I don't know about anyone here, but I've NEVER met a New Car Dealer Service Department that I've liked.
  13. The car (2017 MKZ 2.0 AWD) was at the dealer today. They say that they only heard the normal EcoBoost High Injection Pump noise characteristic of the 2.0 turbo. What I don't know is whether that is the same noise my wife and I heard. I don't know for sure, but I think the pump noise would come from under the hood. The next time I hear the noise, I'll be sure to make a quick video.
  14. Hello...we bought our MKZ on 2017-11-25. My wife and I have both heard a rhythmic knocking noise that seems to occur after the car has been idling for several minutes. I'm 95% sure that it's coming from underneath the car. It seems to be loudest at the rear floor just behind the front seats. It MAY even be happening more toward the driver's side of the car. Is anyone else hearing the same kinda thing? Any ideas?
