  1. Is there any news on the Sync 3 Nav updates for 2017s?
  2. I just had it serviced so it will be a while before it goes back. One bad thing about pick up and drop off is you don't get the opportunity to talk to a service advisor in person or demonstrate the issue.
  3. I went out and tested everything: The power steering wheel controls work The memory function works for the wheel Easy entry/exit is selected The driver's seat moves back and forth when starting/exiting the vehicle but the steering wheel no longer moves.
  4. I noticed that my steering wheel was riding low, and the reason is it doesn't move anymore when entering/exiting the vehicle. The seat still moves. Anyone else experience this?
  5. Until recently Consumer Reports rated the MKZ well and gave it the recommended checkmark. Also remember German cars have the absolute worst depreciation and are expensive to maintain. I'll keep my MKZ, thanks.
  6. I'm pretty sure all you have to do is turn the headlight switch on the dash to non-auto.
  7. I believe Consumer Reports had been knocking Ford's headlights lately. I have the HID with the auto high/low beam and there's a big difference between high and low. In fact on twisting roads with the car ahead going in and out of view, the high/low switching makes the driver think I'm flashing at him. I've also annoyed drivers coming the other way because of the slow responsiveness of the system.
  8. You must have a light foot - I get 28 or so on road trips with the 2.0t.
  9. And they aren't even that economical, "Eco" is just a marketing term. Love the motor though.
  10. It was a good meal, wedge salad and NY strip steak. No door dings. The beltline of this car is so high I can never tell how close I'm parked to anything.
  11. I don't know, I'm sure others here know the history of this motor. Ford has some great motors in these eco-boosts, I never would have thought small displacement four and six cylinders would supplant big V8s but they do and do it well.

With a 2017 I'd just have the dealer fix it. Doesn't sound right on a new car.
  13. Mine has the stock Michelins on it (it's FWD) and I got caught in about 4-6" of unplowed snow during the early snowstorm in Jersey. The car performed like a champ.
  14. What is the rating and what's the replacement rating? Edit - mine has a BXT-94RH-730 and the manual says replace with the same.
  15. Yes, the seats and wheel heaters do not come in in cold weather when remote starting.
  16. Doesn't with mine either, seat and wheel heater never come on in auto or last settings.
  17. Mine froze once in the 15 months I've had it and I used the reset procedure while driving to clear it up.
  18. Did the older one have active noise control? The new one does.
  19. It was an older guy and he put it there without asking, I wasn't even around. The dealer seems to be ignoring it so I assume it's on me the get it fixed.
  20. The dealer brought a 2019 MKC to my house and took the Z in for service. When the driver brought the Z back he left it partially sticking out of the garage, and when the wife closed the garage door it scraped up the rear bumper. Waiting for the dealer response to this, I think they need to take it back and repair the paint. I still like the dropoff service but the people they pay to do it aren't the sharpest tools, if you get my drift. The guy seemed very nervous and took forever to figure out how to jockey the cars around the driveway. Also, I took the MKC out and the interior rattles like a piece of junk in 2 different places, headliner and door. Maybe that's why it's a service loaner, they couldn't sell it like that. But otherwise it's quiet and handles sharply, and wow what acceleration with that 2.0. It's way too much for the front wheels, the traction control struggles to keep the wheels hooked up on dry pavement at full throttle.
