It has about 30K miles on it. Just bought it from CarMax about 1.5 months ago. We did purchase a bumper to bumper plan from them, so, I think this would be covered. As a first time owner of an AWD vehicle, I wanted to be sure this was not normal before taking it in. We test drove it on a rainy day, so, we didn't notice it then. The tires are not the best, but they did pass state inspection. I had seen some conversation on in other forums about worn tires fooling the drive system into thinking that one of the tires was slipping, and thus, forces it into the AWD mode. Not sure how this one works as it's my understanding that there are several different designs for AWD systems.
