Livernois tune for 3.0TT MKZ
darkstar replied to sanders_tj's topic in Accessories and Modifications
Agreed and this is the reason I wanted to run either HPtuners or SCT. I thought we would be able to gain more power from what LMS left on the table, but so far that is not the case. I am not at all disappointed with Torrie. He is an incredible tuner with great customer service. After spending an additional $450, 2 months and tens of hours loading/ datalogging tunes and beating the hell out of my car the gains were nothing. Thats whats frustrating. The shifting was getting better at the end of the revisions but after running the last tune for awhile, it started to feel like something was wrong, like there was a boost leak or something robbing power. Switched back to lms tune and it went away and has been fine for over 2 months. I will probably mess with the Unleashed tune when it warms up again and see if the issues come back. But thanks to me bugging the hell out of Torrie for 6 months and him bugging SCT and HP tuners there is now another option for the MKZ at least. -
Livernois tune for 3.0TT MKZ

Yeah I went through about 25 revisions with Torrie and the car runs good but I started having weird shifting issues so I went back to LMS. I also ran his tune vs lms at the track and there was no improvement... -
I have 2 websites. the one Zalvern posted will work to get in contact but the one with the store is here: https://ultimateperformancenm.com/

Livernois tune for 3.0TT MKZ

Im working with Torrie to get the Mkz tuned via HPtuners, I think we can make this thing fly with tunes optimized for mods like cai, fmic and downipes. -
I'll trade you some secrets. you first

Great news! I cant wait to see your performance results! Time for some 11's!!!!
-
Fat girls need loving too!
-
Im betting it is the same, you should look and find out for us lol
-
I'd like to see the gains on a stock car, I bet it will be a pretty huge gain.
-
Here is the weight of my MKZ 1948 Kilos= 4294 lbs. This was with half tank of gas and a childs car seat.
-
I believe it is! I know out of the tens of thousands I've spent on car modifications its rare to only spend this little amount of money for such a huge gain. Nitrous is the only thing that compares for HP per dollar and its much more dangerous. Excellent cant wait.

You're welcome dude! Can't wait to see what you run at sea level!

Took the car to the track last night to test out the new intercooler and wow is all I can say! It ran a 12.81@107.89 at 8000 ft DA. Thats .8 of a second and 6 mph faster than the stock intercooler went!!!
-
Awesome times!

Picked up the MKZ yesterday (and drove home 1200 miles)

Welcome! Looks just like my car minus the wheels and seats lol -
Glad I could help out! The car is so much better with the new cooler
-
92 This is a pull from this morning to 105 mph
-
Oh man! Got the new intercooler on and what a difference! The top end pull is hard and doesn't fall off majorly like it used to. Only got to do one pull to about 90 mph, and iat 2 never went above 129 degrees! I was seeing over 200 degrees on the stock ic.
-
No this intercooler will fit in stock location and retain grill shutters and cruise control.
-
Correct. Biggest Garrett core that will fit in stock location. I'm drawing up end tanks and will start cutting, bending and welding soon. I'm expecting big gains from this as the stock unit is paper light.

Hmmmmm, I wonder what this could be.......

Ultimate Performance CAI for 17 MKZ 3.0 TT
darkstar replied to darkstar's topic in Accessories and Modifications
They are lightly oiled filters, since there is no MAF on these cars the use of a dry filter is not needed.
