  1. Sweet ride! The paint looks absolutely brand new. In fact, I first thought it to be a 2020 model. Great find. All the best!
  2. In my honest opinion, while the darker colors show the richness, especially when clean, they definitely project all the minor scratches as well as swirl marks not usually noticed on the lighter shade colors. Additionally, if you happen to live where the Sun dominates the daily forecast, the lighter colors can make a difference, especially when choosing an interior color. Just my personal thoughts. : )
  3. There's certainly something to be learned from what you say, bbf. : )
  4. Thank you all for the congrats, and well wishes. Although I haven't been all that active here on the forum I am familiar with many of its members from when I initially joined back in 2017 and must admit, if for nothing else, I've always found the MKZ forum members on a whole to be very helpful and congenial, and that goes a long way. All the best, stay safe and well.
  5. Thank you bbf. Absolutely correct on the wheels. I couldn't think of their proper discription right off, when substituting chrome for machined aluminum. My bad! I will certainly follow your advice regarding the cleaning process.
  6. Thanks guys for your comments, and enlightening info. All the best!
  7. After a 3yr. stint with my 2017 MKZ Reserve, I ultimately decide upon getting another MKZ, only this time around I bellied up to get many of the options I declined on my 2017 Lincoln Reserve model. My 2020 Reserve offers both the Luxury & Elements packages along with the vehicle standard MKZ Reserve features, this as well as the optional 19" chrome wheels. I had been pondering over whether to go for the 3.0 TT motor, but eventually convinced myself on another Hybrid model which had proven itself maintenance-free throughout the past three years not to mention its exceptional fuel efficiency. I definitely feel the Revel ULTIMATE!, (20 speakers) sound system was certainly worth getting, as well as the massaging front seats. The moon roof offered was simply part of the lux package, as I don't particularly feel it's something I will get much use of to any great degree here in Fl. however, the automatic rear window sunscreen on the other hand is definitely a keeper. Ha! Living here in the Sunshine State I opted for the Tri-coat Platinum White exterior paint this time around in contrast to my previous model color Magnetic Grey, with once again the Cappuccino interior. In conclusion, I'm somewhat sorry FORD Motor Co. has decided to move away from producing these sporty luxury sedans to concentrate on SUV's and such, but as they say, "It is what it is". All the best! & as usual, stay safe!

  9. The movement of the seat should be instantaneous, when pressing the directional switch, no delay whatsoever. Maybe a bad relay or loose connection. You mentioned something felt different upon test driving a 2017 Hybrid? In comparison to a 2013 MKZ Hybrid? Hard to understand what you are comparing, eg ride quality, performance, quietness, general handling characteristics, etc etc etc. : )
  10. Hello BB, I suspect there will always be room for misinterpretation within the news agencies, for whatever reasoning, or personal agenda. : )
  11. Some of the Google maps had shown Mexico as part of Central America, but other info. clearly places the country in North America. Thank you. I.m still learning something each and every day. :)
  12. I could be all wrong headed on this, BUT, The theme of the information presented by Ford appears to state that they plan to discontinue making cars in North America, with two exceptions. With that particular information at the forefront, and feel free to correct me if I've missed something in translation here, as it won't be the first or last time I've interpreted something wrongly, but the last time I checked Mexico isn't part of North America, yet. That said, and unless Ford really means something else in there comments, the MKz, or whatever they plan to call it in the future should still be available for sale as it has. Not that I'm overly fond of the MKz I drive anyway. Best Regards, Al Edsel ;)
  13. Further reports may be found on CNN Money. Report posted Wednesday, 4-25-18 8:01PM. http://money.cnn.com/2018/04/25/autos/ford-cars-north-america/index.html
  14. Yep, I get that sort of thing as well. I have experienced the radio getting stuck on a channel, and not only unable to switch channels, but source as well. In fact the radio will not turn off until the car is actually turned off. The Navigation map will at times freeze up and then only the voice commands continue, and that portion of the system can't be turned off either until the car is shut off, or you arrive at your destination. I believe I have what may be a reincarnated Edsel, but I only have 29 months left until the lease ends on this fix or repair daily. Oh yeah, the dealer still can figure out what's rattling inside the car when driving at highway speeds. It's a beautiful thing my FORD! I really feel confident taking a long road trip with my Mkz. Oh Yeah! Ford stock down below $12 a share, I wonder why?
