  1. I got the mirror dip working although haven't been able to get a custom down position saved. Has anyone here done this on a MKZ? Also has anyone got Climate control from the cluster working on a Z? Don't think many here mess with FORScan as our MKZ's have pretty much everything the Fusion guys are chasing, but thought I would ask. Thanks
  2. Still showing the same map version. I did notice something in the last change log for the Lincoln Way app in the iPhone Appstore: It states that the app will be used for updating map info on the car. I didn't see anything on the menus when Carplay or the app was running on the Sync 3 Apps list when my iPhone was plugged in. Might be coming soon though.
  3. Has anyone done any of these mods on a 2017? I want to do the mirror dip on reverse and a few other minor ones. Just wanted to check and see if they are confirmed for 2017's. Thanks
  4. Looks great. Do you mind mentioning how much you paid for the ceramic coating? I am looking at having the same thing done and just want to compare to different areas. 1 layer of 9H runs $1000 around me.
  5. It has happened twice to me in my 2017 3.0 AWD. First time I had just entered a highway and the mirrors folded. I was able to push the button and they unfolded. Second time was this morning after I started my car the mirrors folded back (they weren't folded when I started the car as I leave it unlocked in the garage), I used the button to manually unfold them before backing out of my driveway. Starting to be a concern for me. If it happens once more I am going to take it in for service. DeeCee, please post back with an update after they service yours.
  6. Thanks for the feedback Zalvern. When you say upgraded throttle body are you just referring to a spacer upgrade or did you replace the entire throttle body?
  7. Sorry I missed the point in bold. From the manual: You can override the smart unlock feature and intentionally lock the intelligent access key inside your vehicle. To do this, lock your vehicle after you have closed all the doors by: • Using the keyless entry keypad. • Pressing the lock button on another intelligent access key. • Touching the locking area on the front of the door handle with another intelligent access key in your hand. I always use the bottom 2 on the keyless entry pad and it works for me to lock in the FOB. Works when leaving the car running also if just running into a stop real quick.
  8. You can lock the FOB in the car 2 ways. Upon leaving the FOB after exiting the car you can either press a finger on the little washboard on top of the door handle or you can press the bottom 2 numbers on the SecuriCode entry. I recommend setting your own personal code so that it is easier to remember. Car looks nice. I recently purchased the same model new in Black and just got the high end tint installed. Wish I could go darker in my state!
  9. I had Maps version 1 15 before the update to Sync 3.0 so I don't think there was any map update in this. Also because before installing I looked at every file down to the IMG level in the zip files and there was no maps.img or anything seemingly related to the maps. I agree that the version reporting on the owner site is ridiculous, but that had been on ongoing issue since sync 2.0 (2013 I think) and I bet they just don't care since most don't really pay attention to versions of software in their car if everything is working.
  10. Thanks for chiming in Zalvern. Price lowered to $40 shipped.
  11. Not sure why our MKZ's seem to have Maps 1 15 and the Mustangs look to be 1 14. I would think that the 1 15 would be newer but it may just be that there are different map updates available for different vehicles or perhaps between Lincoln and Ford. I use an iPhone and BT has been fine and CarPlay and IOS 11 are great. I have an android device at home and if I remember I will try to test AA auto for you. Overall the 3.0 update seems to be an improvement. As for when it may released officially, can't say. However if they started a soak test of the software a few week ago (The first it appeared in forums) then I would guess at least 30 to 90 days.
  12. I installed the update today. Seemed to take a while but everything is working fine. The album art issue has been corrected. Along with what Ira mentioned, the only UI change I see is the XM radio icon in sources. They changed the doggy to just SXM. The maps do seem to load slower but after some time they seem to speed back up. Could just be a caching thing.
  13. Sorry everyone, I did not get a chance to try the update yesterday. I have uploaded the file to a working mirror: https://mega.nz/#!1VQxRYKA!4OE_si88VKyfV5wzgIxsCDeHhEmI9IOCFo13iNRRJ_k If I get time I will try the update tonight.
  14. Not sure if it can do that or not since I never used it, but perhaps Zalvern can chime in as he had it at one point. Would seem possible as it has wiring for an always on power as well as ACC. I am going to the Viofo A119S as he and others have recommended. See this thread: http://lincolnmkzforum.com/topic/2899-spare-fuse-s-for-battery-and-acc/
  15. Started a new thread for this earlier: http://lincolnmkzforum.com/topic/3016-sync-3-version-30-north-america/?do=findComment&comment=11004
  16. Just wanted to give a heads up that an unofficial manual update to Sync 3 version 3.0 has been made available here: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90236 (I used the second mirror for the file) It has been installed on Ford Fusion's, F150's and Mustangs with Sync 3. It is confirmed to fix the album art issue with the media player on USB music. I think Ford only releases a single file for Navigation equipped vehicles, so in theory it should work for the MKZ. I may try this later today. I will post my results. If anyone else trys the update, please post your results. Thanks
  17. All, I purchased this unit when I owned my 14 MKZ a few months ago. I never installed it and now have a 17 and decided to use another option. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1920-1080P-Special-WIFI-DVR-for-Lincoln-MKZ-MKX-MKC-Deluxe-Model-2015-Hidden-Installation-Control/32711348212.html?aff_platform=aaf&cpt=1500992958907&aff_trace_key=edbffb743d4641fa9dfe3549ec5f0f0d-1500992958907-05745-VnYZvQVf&dp=84e212c4a6b49e7a78c49b5cb11c7262&af=240682&cv=47843&afref=http%253A%252F%252Flincolnmkzforum.com%252Ftopic%252F2899-spare-fuse-s-for-battery-and-acc%252F&mall_affr=pr3&aff_platform=aaf&cpt=1505826673964&sk=VnYZvQVf&aff_trace_key=ea81b8e8674c48bb8d65ed4e8161420c-1505826673964-00012-VnYZvQVf&terminal_id=497115b7fde84a1b865c9174401c2946 I will include the 2 fuse tap adapters I bought to go with this because the wire ends need to be changed to the fuse size in the MKZ. Should be a simple install for model years 13 through 16. Although it can work in the 17's another member who had it mentioned it was bit of a pain on the 17's. $50 OBO shipped from NC. PM if interested. Thanks
  18. The website reports that I have version 2.3 and I am up to date, however the car reports it is still version 2.2 Did anyone have any experience with performing a manual update to version 2.3?
  19. My account page still shows I have current version (2.2). If you are able to get the 2.3 downloaded, could you please post it here? Maybe they are doing a staged/staggered rollout and it will appear for everyone soon. Thanks EDIT: After looking it says that I got 2.3 installed in August (before I purchased the car new) and I still have the Album Art issue which I thought would be fixed in the next release. I could have sworn when I checked the car it said 2.2 so I will have to go look at my car during lunch.
  20. Awesome job darkstar. Are your only mods the tune and the intercooler? What about CAI? I was thinking about this one: http://www.stage3motorsports.com/555-3214-2017-Fusion-Sport-Steeda-Twin-Turbo-Cold-Air-Intake.html Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket intercooler available like the one you made? (Are you producing more to sell?) Thanks
  21. I think you are referring to what is called Tri Coat: The first is a basecoat of color. Next a second coat of transparent color called the midcoat is applied and finally, a coat of clearcoat They charged extra for that in several colors.
  22. I have owned a 06 Zephyr, 2011 MKZ, and 2014 MKZ and recently purchased a new 2017 MKZ AWD with drivers sport package. I really liked the ride in the 2011 the best out of all the older models and I put 100K miles on it. The 2014 had the rear end roll you speak of and I wasn't happy with the ride quality so I traded it for the 2017 AWD after only 6 months. I have less than 1000 miles on the 17 but the handling is a night and day difference from the 2014 FWD. I also drove some base model 2017's with AWD and the ride was much better than the 14 FWD as would be expected. Sad to hear the ride is still not great on the 2017 FWD models. I am really happy with the 2017 AWD and I think it rides really good. Very smooth. Maybe not glass like the Benz or BMW, but way better than the older models.
  23. All, Just bought a new 2017 MKZ and went to update my profile to change my 2014 and 2016 is the last year that is selectable for the model year in the profile page. What is the deal with that? Not a huge issue, just thought it was odd. Thanks
  24. Looking at trading in my 2014 for 2017 and I was wondering if there was any update on this issue? I use USB a lot and bad album art would really bother me. Has there been an update for Sync 3? Thanks
  25. Can you hear the pump making noise when trying it? If so it may be that you need to prime it but I didn't think that was needed with the newer pumps. I did have a washer pump fail and needed to be replaced in my 2011 MKZ. If it doesn't make any noise, it may need to be replaced. Still have a few months left on the factory warranty, so dealer should fix at no charge.
