Thank you for the welcome. I signed up because my 2014 Lincoln MKZ is misbehaving. We have 2 fobs, and recently one of them was only intermittently recognized by the car. As a preventive measure, we replaced the batteries in both of them. All was well for about a month, then the main one started not working again. Wouldn't unlock the car, occasionally showed up on the console as no fob connected. Then three days ago, in a puff of smoke (actually, after a snow storm) they both stopped working completely. So, 2 new sets of batteries later, they still don't work. I managed to get into the car with the blade key (even that was a bit confusing - the key doesn't turn, but I discovered after you remove it from the key hole, the door will open!), but still the car won't start. Perhaps the battery died, but that would be surprising, it isn't that old and the car was off and locked with the fob, so nothing could have been left on. Hate to have it towed, but I guess that's my next option. Will call dealer tomorrow. Thank goodness for our 2003 Honda Pilot - takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'
