My 2015 MKZ Hybrid won't switch to electric when the outside temperature is over 110 (in Phoenix this is normal). This occurs when I leave the car outdoors on a hot day. I get back in and note that the big electric battery is FULLY charged and it tries to keep charging. Runs like this until I get it into the garage and let it cool down.

I have a 2015 MKZ Hybrid and I get great milage. Usually 40 with AC off and 37 with it on. I try often to run in Blue mode, having had a 2010 Prius previously. It makes a BIG difference. On our last trip, I filled in Flagstaff and drove home to the Phoenix area and then added 330 miles (total 470) around town on ONE tank-full. Got 44 mpg, but of course, it's downhill from Flag-town. Love my Hybrid!
