  3. Well I sent the ACM off to Automotive Circuit Solutions. Hopefully that is the problem and not the amp. I don't seen any corrasion back there. It was a little pita trying to get it out.
  4. So I don't have any popping noises. Mine went to a LOUD white static noise to no sound from any source and I get the dumb chimes from behind the dash cluster. So after all the google searching it seems to be the ACM. I just took out the ACM after finding out it's in the truck. Sorta a pita. I didn't see any corrosion around the amp so not sure if that's the problem. BTW I have a 2013 with the 11 speaker system not the THX. It looks like there is TWO amps? Is that right. One right there in front and one on back side below the ACM? Going to get the ACM repaired by Automotive Circuit Solutions and see if fixes the problem.
  5. No, I know the CD player is behind the dash. I was stating I think I need a new ACM and most of the ford ACMs I've see are built together with the CD player. So I just found this thread and see the ACM is in the trunk. I'm just wanting to conformation from you guys. I just also found this thread They say the amp fixed the problem. So might be the amp instead. I
  6. Ok I found this thread by looking for a MKZ ACM. My 2013 MKZ AMC is not working from what I googled with the symptoms. I have no audio what so ever and everything points to the ACM and all the ones I found include the cd player. Well I thought it was like every other ford. Then I found a CD player for a MKZ and it looks nothing other ford ACMs. But you guys are saying it's in the trunk? I have HD radio if that matters but not the THX sound. Thanks Steven
  7. Just found this thread looking for a cooler Thermostat for my wifes 13 MKZ with the 3.7L. Is this really a common problem. Kinda freaks me out. I know every manufacturer has stupid designs but most can be fixed easy or prevent it. This seems like your F'd. lol
  8. So, just did the transmission drain and fill. I tell you what. That is a stupid place to put a dip stick fill port. Had to take off intake sound box thing just to get to it or else burn my self on the coolant hoses. I'm taking that little box off soon and plugging that hole. It's only there to keep the intake noises down. Took a little over 4.5 qts. Shifts a lot nicer now. Real smooth.
  9. I just did this on the wifes MKZ. As much as DDtech overcharges for their systems. I would not have done the install without seeing that video. lol It was a pretty easy swap. I just had a issue with coding. I loaded codes from a 17 MKZ with the same options, but a few things still did not work. So after a week of messing with stuff. I sent Jason at FVLP email and paid for the programming. Works great now. This was my 4th Sync 3 swap. Did my Mustang first, then moms 13 Explorer, then my brothers base Mustang. It's been a pain in the ass at times getting the screens and APIMs from the junkyards. Many times I was told it came with the APIM and I didn't ship with the screen. Then LKQ sent me the wrong screen two times. GLAD IT'S OVERS NOW!!!! lol
  10. So I guess the 2013s are screwed because I just realized I can't change some of the popular settings on my Wifes 13 MKZ. For the door close doulbe horn honk. I see the 726-41-01 but there is no 726-41-02. Are the 13 just a little different?
  11. Sorry guys. Don't get on here much since I did the wheels, brakes and exhaust. Not much else to do and the car has been great. It is my wifes car I Just got a Mustang so I'm playing with Forscan so this forum brought me back here. lol Thanks Really not bad. I went with 245/40/20s which is a little taller than the 245/40/19s because I didn't want to ride on 35 series tires. It rubs the inner front fender just a little on hard turns but nothing serious. As far as I know the master cylinders are the same. I've had no issues with the ABS and I've done a few hard stops. It really slows the car down. If you have the ecoboost then yes it will be a upgrade. That's why I did was because after I got the wheels, the brakes looked really small. Of course the wide open wheels don't help. I researched about the back too. I think there all the same size except the hybrid uses smaller rotors. It's been a while since I looked it up, so going by just memory. hahha. I found that same spec sheet when researching. It's not right. If you ever want to look up brake rotor sizes, calipers, pads etc. Use this https://centricparts.centriccatalog.com/EcatMain.aspx?id=ANR&uid=ANR&sid=0 It's a god send. lol According to that site. Some model Conti do have 345MM rotors which euals 13.5" rotors. The calipers I have came off a 2017 Continental. Maybe not every trim level has the 345mm rotors I guess. I know the TT MKZ has them because I went to the dealer and saw them. Also seen them on the Fusion Sport Like I said to Funktastic. The rears look to be all the same size. No upgrade there unfortunately. I wish there was a cheap Brembo kit, but anythings possible with some custom brackets. I plan on doing something like that on my truck. Yes, everything bolts ons. Brackets, banjo bolt thread is the same. Use your stock lines. The only thing extra I got was the MKZ TT break shield, which you really don't need but it was cheap so I bought them. anymore questions. Let me know. PM/Email me if I don't respond for a while. lol
  12. I seem to always do brake swaps on my cars. Can never have enough stopping power. After lots of research I found out the Continental has 13.5" Rotors with dual piston calipers vs the stock 12.5" with single piston calipers Also found out later these bigger brakes come on the TT MKZ, MKX and Edge sport. So these are direct bolt on since they all share the same platform. Got the calipers off a Continental with less than 1000 miles because it was used in a crash test. So you need Continental Calipers, pads, rotors and if you want the splash guards. It defiantly bites a lot harder, really responsive brake pedal. I love it and they look great behind the 20s. Now to pics
  13. Good right up. Thanks This will fit a 13 MKZ fwd with the mag ride shocks?
