  1. You get a 91 tune, a 93 tune, and then a 93 firm shift tune.
  2. I have the Livernois tune and it adds a lot of power. My car would keep up with my brother’s ATS-V. I find the normal shifting tune best for everyday use. The firm shift tune is great when the transmission is warmed up, but the initial shift is rough when cold.
  3. Sorry to hear it if your story is truthful, but I have a 2017 with 10,000+ miles and I have not had one issue with the car since taking delivery. A Honda is a very basic vehicle for getting from point A to point B compared to a Lincoln. The comfort, power, features, and space are not even worthwile comparisons.
  4. I would love a Lincoln coupe if they would make it. Or I’m waiting to see what the Ford Mach E looks like. Or maybe the Edge ST.
  5. I too am really excited about this Aviator and the CD6 platform. I can’t wait to see what this brings for the MKZ replacement. I am staying strong with mine and not going the Edge ST route as I once thought. An all wheel drive Lincoln coupe with 600 lb-ft of torque would be quite fun.
  6. It looks like the engine is the same as ours. I think the additional 50 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque come from the electric motors.
  7. I received that in the mail yesterday and shredded it. I get these class action notices all the time. I spend a bunch of time to fill out forms and website pages only to receive $8 in the mail 10 months later while the lawyers get on their yachts and sail around drinking champagne. Don’t get me wrong, I like champagne too and would love a yacht, however I feel these class action lawsuits are out of hand and this airbag issue is a bit blown out of proportion.
  8. That is an excellent standard feature. It is noticeable when adding throttle to exit a corner.
  9. Sweet order! I too avoided the sunroof like the plague for similar reasons. I notice the Driver’s Package is gone. Does the 3.0 AWD come with the Driver’s Package suspension and torque vectoring standard now?
  10. The exclusivity was nice and it is unfortunate Ford does not want to invest in truly elevating Lincoln above all Ford products. However, the use of the 3.0 in other places brings down costs which helps keep Lincoln profitability up.
  11. It’s funny because you were in the back of my mind when I submitted my post. Yes, this car has almost everything except being black label and does not have a sunroof. I specifically ordered without the sunroof because I don’t tend to use them and wanted less weight up top. I really like the styling of the Edge ST and the additional room will come in handy with our two kids as they get older. I will be going down from 400 hp stock to 335, but hopefully a tune will remedy some of the lost power. You are right about test driving first as I don’t want to find the extra two gears bring about a lot of gear hunting and rough shifts. Let’s definitely discuss the swap more. I can send you any additional photos that you need and provide copies of all documents. Many thanks.
  12. I always liked the vent mounted magnetic holders. There are a few on the market. You need to attach a metal disk to the back of the phone or the cell phone case, but they make placing the phone on the mount very easy.
  13. My split is about 60% city and 40% highway and my 2017 3.0 AWD averages 18.2 on the vehicle computer.
  14. This is awesome! Any pics of where you mounted the switch inside the car?
  15. Excellent choice and great options! I have the Driver’s Package and speced very similarly to you without a sunroof. Enjoy!
  16. Mine was Ingot too. It pretty much looks clean even when dirty which is a plus.
  17. Excellent! Things will work out okay. I had a Focus Titanium with the handling package. It was one of the best cars I have ever owned and Ford was on top of things with extending the warranty and repairing the dual clutch transmission proactively. It will be a good in between vehicle until everything pays out. What color?
  18. I am happy to hear they found the guy. If you don’t mind me asking, did you have gap insurance? If you did, you should come out on top of thus. Plus, the pain and suffering will be worth $$.
  19. Zalvern - I am so sorry to read this and see these photos, but so thankful you are okay. That looks like a very scary accident. I am impressed how well the passenger compartment stayed intact and it is a testament to the build quality on these vehicles. You were a pioneer for modifying this 3.0 MKZ and your thoughtful, colorful, and insightful posts will be missed on this forum. I wish you all the best with whatever you choose next and hope you achieve a full recovery from any pain and suffering that you are encountering. Please keep us in the loop.
  20. They do, and that further improves shift speed, but initial driving results in a clunky first to second shift until the transmission warms up a bit. If they could figure out a way to eliminate that issue I would use the firm shift tune all the time.
  21. The additional power is worth it. I find turning Advancetrac off makes the shifts quicker too. There is definitely less delay with the tune.
  22. I have a 3.0 AWD with driver’s package and absolutely love the car. The tune adds a lot of power and improves shifting, but does not make it shift like a dual clutch transmission. However, the transmission is not lacking so much where it is a deal breaker for me. As far as I know, Livernois has not released a revision to their initial tune.
  23. Thanks for sharing on tires and rpm. 1500 to 1800 seems to be a sweet spot from what I hear. Still haven’t been to the track, but I hope to go and see what the tune does for me. That is a beast Thunderbird!! I love it! Beautiful car and color.
