  1. The last 2 months been having issues with the Bluetooth in my 2017 MKZ. It would cut in and out when listening to music from my phone. I thought it was because of a recent software update on the phone, a BlackBerry KEYone but I tried it my old BB Classic, which used to work fine, and it did the same thing

So I finally had a reason to update from Sync 3 V2.0 to V3.0. I did it via WiFi and the problem still happened so I did a Master Reset of the Sync which I didn't think would work and it didn't

So I finally took it to the dealer and they found that it was the API Module. They replaced it and now it's back to running perfectly. It was really gettin to be a headache. I realized just how important the stereo is in my car, lol.

*Sorry if this has already been discussed, didn't see it when doing a quick search*

  2. I got a card for 100 free washes when I got my 2017. On top of that, the guy that I worked with told me when I run out to let him know and he'll give me another card :-O I just hit 58. Just wondering if he will remember, lol

  3. Does your steering wheel feel loose at all? I would imagine that before it "detaches" a driver would feel that it's not exactly on very tight...there may be some slight movement or wobbly sensation.

Thankfully no, it doesn't feel loose at all. I just wouldn't want any surprises on about 24 hour trip back and forth. I've had "her" since August 2016. Not sure how long it would take before it became noticeable if it wasn't tightened all the way :-/

I'll definitely be keepin an eye on it until it's fixed

  4. Called my dealer a 2day and asked about it. Said they didn't have parts yet and said I should be getting a letter. Told him I'm due for a oil change and asked / insisted if they could give it a quick check until the parts came. He said that should be ok.

I got a trip to New Orleans coming up (WM34) so I'm glad this came up, so I'm aware.

  5. Thanks, I hadn't seen that. Do you have any more documentation for the Revel systems?

No problem. And sorry, unfortunately I don't. I was wanting to kno the speaker sizes myself. Like are the bigger ones 10's, middle ones 6x9's... I would think that info would be available somewhere but I couldn't find it anywhere

I started using "her" as my daily driver back in April after a trip to Florida from Nebraska. Also drove to Denver, Minneapolis & St Louis. Driving it is like floating on a cloud even on the highway :-)

  7. Pardon, not sure I quite understand your response to the OP question dwonder, then again I've been known to be a bit slow on the uptake from time to time. Ha!

If I understand correctly you don't particularly care for the 19" spoke wheel regardless of weather they are brushed aluminum in appearance or painted magnetic grey as are now offered. Further, that those rims in particular give the car the appearance it is for an older person, like those often seen driving the Lincoln Town cars. Interesting!. : )

That is correct, lol. Just my personal thoughts ;-) To me they actually look like hubcaps. But the magnetic painted are better than the brushed aluminum to answer the OP.
  8. They updated 7-24-17. About 2 weeks before mine was acting up. It didn't show my cars picture when I opened the app, which I liked seeing I could still use it remotely and schedule remote starts but it always gave that fetched vehicle error and I couldnt edit any info. After the update it was back to working flawlessly :-)

PS: still wishing they will add a fingerprint log in like they said they did for the update before this last one but it wasn't there. Would be another perk for my BlackBerry KEYone ;-)

  9. I have a black 2017 and love it. It is my dream car, custom made just for me. But believe or not I drive by a black 2009-2012 that's always parked on the same Street and mean mug it in jealousy, lol. I love that grille and would possibly trade it for the 2017. It's a toss up.

But to answer the original question, I am not a fan of the 2013-2016. Glad they changed it last year when I decided to buy one cuz I probably would of got it, not loving it. Phew :-)

  10. I didn't like them to begin with...i opted for the optional Reserve rims. They just made the car look completely different, like for an older person. No offense to any one, lol. I mean like back in the day I would usually see older people driving the Lincoln Towncars. The optional rims give it that modern look in my humble opinion. I did wish they had a couple more different options.

  11. Good deal

I had a similar experience. During my long trip to Florida from Nebraska last month, I would say I saw at least 30 2017's. And those were just on the interstate goin the opposite direction. I only remember seeing one goin my way. The funny part is that probably 25 of those were just goin from Orlando to Miami Beach. I don't remember seeing many if any on the way back. I also saw about 3 Continental's. I would think it was MKZ but it got closer and I saw the body and realized it wasn't, lol.

They were mostly blue and silver. I did surprisingly get to see mine (Black, Reserve, optional Rims) drive right past me as I was crossing the street walkin to the Amway Center ;-)
