  1. Absolutely stunning in that color combo! Congrats and enjoy!
  2. As far as I know they're all built at the Hermosillo, Mexico plant.
  3. I typed in my VIN and it says I have no recalls. Mine was built in Feb. 2017. Does that make sense?
  4. Brought my MKZ to the dealer for it's first oil change yesterday. I don't like the idea of someone else driving my car so I didn't avail myself of the "concierge" service, but got a loaner vehicle instead - a 2016 MKX Black Label 2.7T with only 6,500 miles on the odometer. Put about 90 miles on it driving out to a client and back. It looked great in black, and the quality of the leather was better than my Select trim MKZ. Power was more than adequate but nowhere near my 400-hp car. It was quiet on the road, but a little noisier than the MKZ. Most noticeable was the feeling of a higher center of gravity which required much slower speeds on highway entrance and exit ramps. I guess I am just more of a car guy than a crossover/SUV guy!
  5. Not really but "Abe" comes to mind
  6. Great selections all around! That is going to be a fantastic car that you will absolutely love. 9 months with mine and I could not be happier with my MKZ! I don't recall anyone else on this forum buying an '18 so a big "woo-hoo" to you!
  7. Drolds, just went out to check for you (it's freezing outside!) Anyway, mine, like yours, looks like the pic of the 2.0 dipstick. What to think?
  8. 2017 3.0T AWD, 6000 miles on it. I use 93 Octane. Mostly short trips in suburban setting with many stoplights, half of it during morning rush hour traffic. Under those conditions, consistently 16 mpg. I've gotten 24 mpg on highway trips.
  9. The bottom line is, that extra half-inch of sidewall with the 18s is a significant difference and why I went with the Select trim level.
  10. That sounds more like a description of the Revel Ultima system, not the "plain" Revel.
  11. You seriously didn't know that the Revel system is an $1,180 option?
  12. I have the 14-speaker Revel audio system in my '17 MKZ Select. Overall I think it's just OK (I haven't heard either the base or Ultima systems so I have no basis for comparison). Anyway today I was playing with the sound settings trying to hear the difference between the QuantumLogic Surround Sound Onstage vs. Audience. Not much of a difference to my ears but I thought the Onstage setting sounded a little crisper and less muddy. Your comments, opinions, etc.?
  13. MKZ Mark I like the way your car looks!
  14. It's up, but it's not correct at this point. I tried to build a Select 3.0T/AWD and couldn't. I was able to build a Reserve 3.0T/AWD but the price came out less than my 2017 Select so that can't be right either. I'm sure they'll get the bugs worked out soon.
  15. Great pics fusionff! Both of those blues look great! For 2018 you can get the wheels and dark-painted grille of the Driver's Package by ordering the "MKZ Magnetic Package" on Premiere, Select and Reserve trims. Adds a little flexibility to the packaging.
  16. My car is the Magnetic Gray and it does look great on the MKZ. Either way you'll be getting a great-looking, great-driving car so good luck and please tell what happens!
  17. Yes it's a lighter shade of blue. Looks great to me! Now there's a dealer in GA who put up several videos of '18s with the new package (I think it's called the "Magnetic Package") which puts the Driver's Package wheels and grille on the car. Kind of interesting to see the Driver's Package appearance on different color cars. Now that the '18s are on dealer lots, I wonder when 2018 Build-and-Price will be up on Lincoln's website?
  18. I just looked on their website and saw the silver car. Panoramic roof on it too, nice! I'd be very surprised if they won't match the legitimate price from another dealer on an identically equipped car. My sales guy there is Rich, great to deal with.
  19. April 25, 2017 and it's got 4,646 miles.
  20. Just go on YouTube and search "2018 Lincoln MKZ" and a variety of dealer-posted videos will come up. The blue one I saw was at a dealership called " West Point".
  21. If you're an alert driver you won't really need the features of the Technology Package. The Driver's Package would add even more driving fun and sportier looks inside and out to an already great looking/driving car. Driver's Package gets my vote! You'll surely save some $ going with a '17 vs. a 2018. By the way I have neither of those packages on my 2017 Select (Plus) trim. Edit: Just noticed you're on LI too. Which dealer are you working with? I and also drolds1 on this forum have had very good experience with Hassett in Wantagh.
  22. US News and World Report ranked the 2018 Lincoln MKZ #15 out of 15 Luxury mid-sized cars. Doesn't affect my absolute LOVE for mine!
  23. I finally see a few dealer videos showing 2018 MKZs. One that caught my eye shows it in the new Blue Diamond Metallic color. Gorgeous and if I was in the market for an '18 that would be my color choice.
