  1. Mine had 27 miles on it when I got her picked up.. dealer said that it was pretty average for the mkz's. I asked because I was thinking the same way. Should have only had 5-10 in my mind
  2. Do you have the heated wheel? If so does it kill the heat?
  3. Sounds about right on par with mine. I am at 11k and when on my trip out west I would fill up and with all highway driving it would calculate between 311 and 323 and normal daily driving it calculates between 277 and 283 at fill up
  4. This exactly what I have minus the luxury package (did go with the 13 speaker revel system.... even the same color. If I had to do again I would definitely go for the luxury package over the mid level revel (the led headlights are a nice plus). 8 have the standard moonroof and for me it would be a coin flip on the pano..
  5. 7-29 9800 miles 3.0T reserve Drivers .... getting her scheduled for the first scheduled service. Trip to Denver from Detroit under her belt.
  6. Mine has started doing the same thing. (With the chime). I have already talked to the dealership and I will take it in after we return from our trip to Denver. I have been somewhat reliably able to reproduce the change to the instrument cluster sound by shutting the car off with auto hold on AFTER I have actually used the auto hold feature. I.e. Stopping long enough for the indicator to illuminate. But it's not a 100% thing. But getting it back to standard chime. So far it has been "correcting" itself after I lock the car and leave it for a short period of time. Just shutting the car off and restarting doesn't seem to do it, nor does just a lock/unlock sequence, there has to be a time component,
  7. Your dealer should be able to get the rail car #. Then you can track it through csx tracking ... I believe I posted the number earlier in this thread
  8. I am going to make a stab and say it will com in at 4.9 0-60 and right around 13.2 - 13.3 @ 103/104 I had a mazdaspeed6 and it was clocked by C&D @ 5.4 and 14.0 @ 99mph. The Z is Much quicker although a bit softer @ launch manual v. Auto. (Speed is awd also, so comparable) The speed6 was 274/285 and 3600lbs. Just a stab but I think it will be real close
  9. That's awesome 17. Glad to hear it all turned out as well as it did!!!
  10. On the trans ... I would have to tend to lean toward the reviewers. The 6spd is not responsive to input and just don't have the "oomph" of a ZF. Which I would say is the gold standard and used by Jag, Audi just to name a couple. If you put the ZF trans behind this motor it could be silky smooth in normal and wicked quick in sport. My biggest complaint with the 6spd is that it just don't "Listen" to my paddle inputs. This is most aggregious in sport mode.
  11. This is not unusual. When I was shopping around, nearly every manufacturer had this type of "configuration" requirement. I don't like it but it's what it is. Certain colors are only available with certain interiors and wheel etc... Trust me, Lincoln is not close to the worst, in my experience the worst and most complex is Infiniti. What a disaster trying to build a car. It's almost to the Henry Ford model T statement - any color you want as long as it's black
  12. Have them look at the transfer case mounts and the rear diff mounts. (My speed6 w/haldex awd system from ford) had pretty significant issues with rear diff mounts. The rubber Iso bushings would tear and cause terrible vibrations at different speeds. It seemed to be more pronounced during light acceleration or loading
  13. Damn 17 that SUPER SUX. I have to say PDR has been good for me. As stated before a skilled PDR guy will get it in shape. I have had to the service on the wife's 16 Enclave for door dings and once on my daughters 16 Jeep Compass. Couldn't tell it happened when done. Take heart and it had to be a sickening sight watching it happen.
  14. I don't know if I would call the 3.0 "laggy". It does take a bit of effort to spool up from a dead stop - it's not as "immediate" as a N/A or supercharged engine for sure. From my comparisons of other supercharged and turboed cars I have owned or driven I was pretty impressed with the tt and the smooth power delivery it offers. (Mines the 3.0 awd drivers pkg) The biggest "downside" to the TT motor is the exhaust note. Turbos in general, really soften the note and you don't get the "pop" you get from a N/A or S/C. Depending on your "comfort style" I might suggest the driver package. See my thoughts on the difference in suspension tunes here http://lincolnmkzforum.com/topic/1748-2017-mkz-orders/page-15?do=findComment&comment=7530
  15. So I had my car into the dealer to fix a couple of the minor issues noted at delivery (scratch on chrome trim piece on front door surround and a broken clip on the rear opera window trim piece). So per the ads. They drove the loaner to my work, picked up my car yadda yadda... the loaner was a 2017 reserve 2.0t fwd and I can say: 1. What a HUGE difference between the 2.0 and 3.0 .. I mean I expected a reasonable difference but really. Not even in the same solar system 2. There is quite a noticeable difference in suspension feel between the standard and driver package suspension tunes. It's pretty close to a full setting. The "normal" mode felt more like comfort on my driver package car. The sport mode was close to normal ... 3. Seats - the loaner had the standard power seats. The difference in feel was massive. The standard seats felt "cushy". Where as the multi contour seats are firm and supportive. In a nut shell the standard reserve was what I think they are describing as quiet luxury. It's comfy and..... Soft The driver package feels almost rowdy in comparison. It's still a quiet, comfortable car just in a completely different way. I am EXTREMELY happy I went with the driver package .. Much more suitable to my tastes and preferences
  16. Definitely might want to rethink and research the ccd suspension. I would have a hard time believing the roads are worse than mine (auburn hills/lake Orion mi area). It's post apocalyptic for road conditions. No hard hits suspension is up to the task. I found having it in comfort mode when driving around the surface roads and switching to normal or sport for freeway driving is the way to go
  17. Pretty much the same. I just don't have the inflatable rear belts .... And my color choice is better
  18. Nice choice ... What color did you go with??? I got the midnight sapphire blue. IMO there is actually quite a difference in the drive mode settings. Not sure if it's the same on non-driver package cars. The wife and I just finished a long weekend up to mackinaw and M22 and M31 along the lake shore. Great drive smooth easy performance. It really does do very well as a touring car. As a bonus I averaged 25+ mpg for the trip. About 600miles total. It was nice windows up, sunroof on vent Ac fan on low. Could carry on a conversation in a normal tone while still clicking up I-75 at 80 mph.
  19. Yes you can. But it's a point of reference. And anytime you have wheel slip you are loosing traction. That leads to a reduced acceleration time and possibly more.
  20. I posted this in the engine topic but figured since this is where folk would look if they are considering ordering a new MKZ. a small piece of advice... if you can swing getting the summer tire package (and complementary set of winter tires if you live in northern climates) ESPECIALLY with the 3.0... DO IT. I have had mine for about 2 weeks now and from a dead stop with aggressive power application, the car will still kick in the traction nanny (yes it makes the tires spin/slip even in sport mode and with driver package) so sticker tires for summer and winter would be highly recommended from my perspective. I am considering a set of summers starting next spring and will evaluate the stock AS over this winter to see if i need both.
  21. agree that the 2.0 should be a fusion motor for the entry level... however the 2.3 in the MKC trim @ 285hp 305tq would be a great entry motor for this car (just under what the 3.7 had) with the 3.0 and the standard hybrid (shared with fusion) power train would be 3 EXCELLENT powertrain choices. The entry 2.3 would fill the "effortless power" in the entry level cars with the option to step up to the 3.0T. as an aside... a small piece of advice... if you can swing getting the summer tire package (and complementary set of winter tires if you live in northern climates) ESPECIALLY with the 3.0... DO IT. I have had mine for about 2 weeks now and from a dead stop with aggressive power application, the car will still kick in the traction nanny (yes it makes the tires spin/slip even in sport mode and with driver package) so sticker tires for summer and winter would be highly recommended from my perspective. 22. I talked with Jamie also, here is the lowdown i got. He said there are a couple other projects they are working on. first is the new 2.7tt fusion sport, then the 2.3 lincoln mkc, then they should be on the 3.0tt lincoln. he said that the "EB" motors really respond well to tunes. the 3.5 was 60-80 bump the 2.7 will be about a 50-60 bump and he anticipates the 3.0 to be somewhere in that ball park.. But from what he alluded to it will be a solid couple of moths before they have anything ready for the 3.0. on the upside if you split the bump between the 2.7 and the 3.5 we should be looking at a solid 70 with a "standard" tune... with the 500 number not unrealistic with a few other mods and hotter tunes.
  23. I would concur with Zalvern about the sub 5 0-60 time. I don't think it will peg at 4.5 but it should be an honest 4.8 - 4.9. It does feel a bit soft coming off a dead stop (launch) but I imagine it is intended to be that way for the Lincoln brand. So as not to seem harsh on initial acceleration. I was doing a little playing around and have noticed that there is a fairly significant difference in rear wheel power distribution between the "D" normal and "S" mode. In sport rear power split is proportions more quickly to the rear and a higher split ratio. It also holds rear drive power longer. I would estimate that it changes from a 60/40 split to real close if not a complete 50/50 split As for livernois, I need to email them back, I opened dialog after I ordered and need to pick it back up. They are only about a 30 min drive or so from me.
  24. I would check out livernois motorsports http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/ They have tuners exhaust etc
