  1. My ordered car showed up as a car for sale on the dealers website also. I called them to tell them I wasn't too happy about that and they told me that the software for their website automatically adds the cars as they show up in their computerized inventory. They assured me that they know what cars are available and which are not. I suppose if someone where to have seen my car and wanted it, it could possibly generate another sale for the dealership.
  2. Zalvern, I have had the same issue, It happens randomly, I rarely use the Auto hold or E parking brake. So I can't say there are related in my case. I also have the gurgling heater core issue as well that I saw mentioned in another thread. I haven't taken it in to have my dealer look at either of these issues yet. Otherwise no complaints.
  3. Got my car back from the body shop yesterday. All the hail damage is gone! The PDR guy that worked on my car is amazing! You would never know it once had almost 370 hail dents in it. I could only be happier if it hadn't happened in the first place.
  4. You are pretty close. He use to bring his garbage to work so he wouldn't have to pay for home pickup. He bragged one day how he had bought this hounds tooth pattern leisure suit he was wearing at a yard sale for a quarter. We told him he paid too much, LOL. We were traveling together one time back in the day when you would get paid a travel per diem before you left on the trip. He would want to eat at McDonalds for every meal because if you didn't spend it all you could keep the balance. He was thrifty to say the least.
  5. I use to work with a guy that would always give me crap for buying new cars vs. used. He would say what we've all heard before, "Always buy used cars and let the other guy take the hit for the initial depreciation" He would say this like everyone should do this and you are stupid if you don't. I finally said you know you may be right but if we didn't buy new cars where would used cars come from? He never said anything to me on the subject ever again.
  6. You can try the Lincoln Concierge. He was able to get me my VIN, I just need to give him my order number and dealer number from the paperwork I got from the dealer after I placed the order.
  7. Just that they have the ability to check the status of vehicles they have on order, which will give the them VIN when it becomes available. When I was waiting for mine I was able to get my VIN from the Lincoln Concierge. But I also could have gotten from my dealer.
  8. Got the estimate today for the hail damage, PDR the dents in body panels (they counted about 370) and replace some trim pieces.3 days in the shop. A little less than $3900. Actually less than I thought it would be.
  9. Myron, I really like the Thoroughbred interior. Hope you find, like me, it was worth the wait.
  10. Ordered mine May 25th took delivery August 4th. However most of us placed our orders quite early for 3.0T cars. Production of those cars started later the 2.0T cars hence the longer wait. Don't quote me but... I would thing now that production of all models is in full swing the normal 6-8 week delivery time should hold true. With the possible exception of some of the Black Label models.
  11. KenZ, The storm caught me by surprise and the hotel didn't have the covered check in area or I would have definitely used it. I have a weather warning app on my phone that warns me about bad weather. Unfortunately I forgot to add the city we had traveled to. Live and learn I guess. Yes the pano roof is pretty strong , I had the Glass roof option on my 12 Mustang (similar but didn't open) never any issues with that one. I shudder to think of mow many more dents I would have had with a steel roof. I came out of a 12 Mustang with the 3.7 w/ 6 speed manual and the V6 Perf. Pkg That car was fast for a V6 but didn't pull the way the 3.0T does. Torque is a wonderful thing!
  12. There has got to be well over 100 dents on the car going to be quite a task for the PDR guy. I was surprised we he told me he could have it done in two days.
  13. Thanks guys, I'm happy they believe they can fix it with the paintless method. I was was really upset as I watched it happening out my hotel window with no place to move it to My dad owned a body shop for 42 years and I remember how they fixed hail damage back then, body work and repaint the repaired areas. The problem was the paint was never exactly the same as the factory paint. The shop is telling me I won't be able to tell it ever happened when they are done. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.
  14. The good news first I have about 1300 miles on the car now and I love it. I think the Lincoln line "effortless power" sums it up perfectly. Very comfortable (love the multi contour seats with massage) and quiet. Even got almost 27 mpg on the last trip. My wife now wants to take my car now when we go some where which is OK by me. Now the bad news. We took a trip last weekend and my car got caught outside in a thunderstorm that produced quarter size hail. Needless to say the car got dented all over the hood, trunk, and passenger side. One good thing I have the Panoramic glass roof it saved the roof from the same fate. After going through the 7 stages of grief  (LOL) I took the car in to a friend of mine that owns a body shop. Now I am familiar with paintless dent removal but only as a means to fix the occasional door ding, etc. I was surprised when he had his PDR guy look at the car and tell me no problem, he could fix all the hail damage on the car. There are a few pieces of chrome trim that will need to be replaced but all the rest can be repaired. He said I was lucky in the fact that none of the dents were very deep which makes the easier to fix. So just need to schedule to get it in now. And pay attention to the weather forecast more closely ;)
  15. Truthfully, I think it photographs lighter than it really is. To me it looks almost a chocolate candy bar with a hint of red color in person.
  16. Got it home! Only drove it about 20 miles from dealership to home. Got on it a little while cruising about 50 mph, it was going past 90 before it knew it. I know this isn't very technical but seat of the pants, it's sneaky fast, pulls very hard, very smooth power. It was about 8:30 by the time I got home (don't know why it takes so long to deliver a new car). Here are a couple quick pictures I'll take some better ones tomorrow,
  17. Stopped by my dealer to go over the final numbers (they had forgotten a private cash offer I had). They straighten that out, no problem, Then I asked if they could check on the status of my car. It just came in today! I'm picking it up tomorrow after work. Placed the order 5/27 delivered 8/4. I hope.
  18. I agree, not the best choices for wheels I went with thee optional 19" wheels just because they are better (IMO) than the standard wheels. I have been looking at some aftermarket wheels for a possible upgrade. Here's one I like..
  19. I was think the same thing but...... I might try Anthricite Plasti Dip instead.
  20. Great price! I'm going on faith, the 3.7 I drove was good the 3.0T can only be better right? I grew up in Spring Lake Park you must be near there if you are going thru North Country.
  21. Nice! I test drove a 2016 3.7 V6 AWD around 300HP as close as I could get to the 3.0T. I'm getting mine from Morries Minnetonka Ford/Lincoln Usually buy from Morries Buffalo Ford. I've bought or leased 7 vehicles from them for me or my wife over the past 15 years. This will be number 8. But since they don't sell Lincolns they sent me over to Minnetonka. Where I work offers Ford partners discount so I get X-plan pricing. mine will be $47097 with all the incentives, etc. You can probably do as good or better if you want to haggle but for me x-plan is pretty painless.
  22. brucelinc, I'm in Minnesota also. My car is supposed to be here in little over a week. I ordered the 3.0T AWD Reserve pkg. Magnetic with Terracotta interior, Climate pkg. Panoramic Glass roof and Multi-contour seats, Optional 19" wheels and All weather floor mats. MSRP $51325
  23. Very nice! I'm about two weeks away from mine getting here. (that is if my dealer is correct) I'd like to hear your first impressions of the drivetrain. I assume you are still taking it easy but just the same.
  24. Congrats on the new arrivals ;) Schteve and Zalvern.
  25. I like the darker grill. I think that will be on my list of things to do to mine since I didn't get the drivers package. It would be great to get a report on your first impressions of the 3.0T motor once you take delivery.
