I think the newer vehicles with fuel injection can expect to see a lot of miles. The key is to maintain them and to change oil frequently. I just sold an 03 Ford ZX2 that had 185,000 miles on it and I would not have hesitated to drive it coast to coast. My 07 MKZ has 64,000 on it and still feels like new.

I do not think the unlock button was held down for that period of time accidentally. This has happened twice and it was after the keys were stored for the evening. I have no idea when the windows rolled down. I am trying to diagnose whether it is a key pod issue or a vehicle issue. Thank you for your response!

Hello, I am new to this forum having just purchased a 2007 MKZ. I know it is nine years old but we love the car so far and I chose it over the newer model because I like the styling better. But that is just me. Twice now I have gotten up in the morning to find the front windows have lowered with no command from either key pod. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know of the cause and the repair. Thank you!
