  1. Oh my bad but the 13' MKS while not better than the 13' MKZ in my opinion is still a good car as I had a 09 MKS in the Sangria Red Metallic and it was a looker. And it's still alot better than the 08' MKZ.
  2. Good biz bro...you will be happy with the 2nd generation MKZ.....worlds better than the Madza-based 1st gen and sounds more refined as well. Ditto on the looks. Depending on color you get alot of attention in them when they're clean. I have a '16 MKZ in Platinum Dune Metallic and whenever she's washed I always get compliments. Congrats tho!
  3. Same thing here, I read the review by C&D and immediately became annoyed. I'm like they spent the first 1/3 of the article complaining about optional summer tires like only BMW M series or MB AMG series are the only automakers that can offer these tires. I have a '16 MKZ and I know that if I wanted better grip I could just change the tires and it would make all the difference. I did comment on that article that C&D has total biased and they couldn't wait with the "Ford parts Bin" comparison stuff. I been on C&D, Motortrend, Autoblog, and Automobile Mag website everyday waiting for reviews and when I finally saw it I knew it wasn't going to be good with the catchphrase under the Headliner. The Continental review was the same thing. Waiting to see how Autoblog and Motortrend respond....guess we already know these won't be MT Car of the Year...Lol
  4. I don't even think that's possible and if some body shop was willing to do it would be cost prohibitive most likely and Lincoln would almost certainly void any warranty remaining on the vehicle if it's still there due to structural safety being compromised. As mentioned above, would be better to just trade out of it into a newer one with a pano roof.
  5. I wished the MKZ was offered in Smoked Quartz again. The Platinum Dune, Lux Metallic and the new Jade are also great choices
  6. I have a 2016 MKZ with the turbo 4 and I'm having some issues with the audio. It allows me to sync my phone to the bluetooth audio. So if any calls come through my phone it will come through the speakers. I have the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. However if I want to play my music from Google play or Amazon it won't play through the speakers and the Bluetooth Audio button seems like it gets stuck. Or is grayed out and it instead plays from my phone itself. I keep disconnecting the my phone and resync it to My Lincoln Touch but nothing changes. It wasn't always this way but has been doing this since a week or so after I got the car back from Lincoln after they replaced the clap spring as the buttons for next track and audio volume on the steering wheel wasn't working. This is a brand new car and a inconvenience to have to take it back to them but I guess I have no choice. Has anybody else experienced this???
  7. So I get my car back from Lincoln and they have no answer as to why I'm getting such bad gas mileage. I'm at nearly 4,000 miles which I know is alot in only two months and they tell me that the vehicle is still learning my driving habits and to give it to 5K miles and it should be broken in by then.. Im currently at 15.7mpg....I feel that that's a crock of b.s. What's the purpose of having a 4 cylinder if im getting v8 gas mileage. Even my previous MKS did better at 17.9mpg.
  8. It would be Smoked Quartz, Lux metallic, Ruby Red or Platinum Dune Metallic.....which is the color I have and am loving it. My MKX was Sangria Red Metallic which I loved
  9. I have a 2016 in Platinum Dune but often times i notice that when you drive small gravel and rock chips will cause the chips to show up in hte paint. Especially in premium paint colors. My previous MKS was in the Sangria Red paint scheme and it happened quite often. I suppose those premium paint colors which Lux Metallic is one of them use thinner paint. Just my guess but it still comes from the type of streets you drive/park on. Regg
  10. dude that looks sweet! I just leased a 2016 Platinum Dune Metallic One back at the first of April. Didn't realize the 17's were on the way or else I would have waited. Then again Im sure I wouldn't have been given several thousand in incentives to take it off the lot. Love my MKZ though. I also have the Reserve Pkg with the 19'' polished rims, moonroof, etc. Hate it didn't come with THX as the base sound system doesn't go up very loud before it starts destorting although the speakers do have some decent bass. Congrats on your purchase. Be sure to post pics when it arrives.
  11. Hmm I've never heard of a powered 2 way speaker. I definitely want more volume but since it's a lease I can't change out the speakers to increase the volume. That's why I considered the powered sub. So a powered speaker increases the volume? Does it distort the speakers, I would be scared with the way that I listen to music that I would blow the speakers and they wouldn't be covered undered warranty. Also wasn't aware that the MKZ had a normal 110 volt socket. Must be behind the front seats im assuming...
  12. How is the powered sub working? I also have a 2016 and it's a lease but was thinking about adding a powered sub to the trunk but wanted to know how it would sound. Was thinking about Rockford Fosgate or Infinity Basslink both on Crutchfield's for $199

Love the Lux Metallic....i was also going to get this color with the Reserve pkg and 3.7AWD....but they wanted $500 more down and an extra 75.00 a month...i was like ummmm no thanks...got the 2.0 Ecoboost. Drives great
  14. I drive it in normal mode and yes it does have the sports mode but I don't keep it there. I use it here and there. When I fill up it only has a range of 200 and something and it seems like the moment I start driving it the hand starts moving so by the end of a day it may have 50-60 miles and its' already at just under 3/4 tank of gas by day 2 under half going to the and by day 3-4 empty.......
  15. I know this is a old thread but SkipB your MKZ looks Sweet blacked out like that. Like it alot and I don't even like black as a exterior color.

  22. Well I'm well past the 1,000 mile mark if you saw my first post. I'm at 3,000 and the mpg is still what i had when i bought the car. 15.2 and it went to 15.3mpg. Filling up every 2-3 days is not fun or cool. I would have gotten the 3.7v6 for that matter. It's pissing me off big time too.
  23. Hi Everyone I just recently leased a 2016 Lincoln Mkz FWD with the 2.0 Ecoboost engine. The window sticker shows a 22/32 city hwy and a combination of 26. However I'm nowhere near that number as I'm currently filling up every several days. My mpg is 15.2/15.3 mpg. Those to me are SUV numbers like a Navigator or Escalade and this is with the 4cyl. I'm almost 3000 miles in and I've only had the car a little over a month so I would figure at this point the car is broken in. I called Lincoln Service at my dealer and he told me it needed to be broken in but this was at 500 miles....Am I in for a big disappointment. My MKS that I traded in to get this averaged 19 mpg city/hwy and that was with a v6 and much heavier vehicle. Love my car but this is disappointing to say the least? Anyone else experience this and what recourse do I have?
