  1. Does the suspension feel softer than it should be? If it does, it could be worn shocks. If it still feels strong, it's more likely a control arm bushing or sway bar linkage. Being a betting man, I'll put my money on the linkage, although mice sometimes like bushings for dinner
  2. So I got the front springs installed and at first I didn't like the look. I decided to drive it for a while and see how I liked the ride. Handling performance is my goal here after all. I'm not so sure I like the ride either. It's not bad in sport mode, but pretty bouncy in comfort mode. Being a city driver in DC, I use both modes. The look is almost starting to grow on me, and I'm even thinking I like the rake with the rear at stock ride height. It looks custom and aggressive. I'm afraid lowering the rear as well will look like and old beater Linc with busted airbags. Any comments?

  4. I agree that this is a performance enhancing device. Certainly, the amount of time it takes for the driver input to reach the throttle body accounts for something. The Lincoln seems intentionally slow to reconcile this input in factory setup. I enjoy my PedalMax. Any idea what the difference is between the Livernois product and JMS?
  5. I like them all. The full black is my favorite

5' ground clearance. Original springs were at 6'. The kit says it lowers 3/4 of an inch, but I seem to have gotten a full inch out of it.

  8. Sport option Porsche factory equipment for a 2014 Macan. I saw on some random website that these fit. The design of the padals seemed very appropriate for a Lincoln so I took a chance. The gas pedal fit nicely. The brake pedal, close, but not so nice. Some minor trimming of the rubber "snaps" on the back and copious amounts of Silicone 3 did the trick.
  9. Great color/wheel combo. Debadge is a must. Don't sleep on the 3.7
  10. DeviLSh, The sway bar fits and turned out to be a decent mod. There's not much to the intake resonator delete. I purchased one for the '14 Fusion from Steeda. It's pretty much just an aluminum plug. It was a little small for the hole in the intake tube of the Linc. I used a nice t-bar clamp generally used in high pressure situations, i.e. forced induction, to be sure I had good even clamping power and just tightened until the hole snugged up. It's been on for about a year without issue. BTW, I've been blindly pioneering for about two years if you have any other questions. Currently about halfway through installing H&R lowering kit... will update.

  16. I think that 17" wheel/tire assembly would look very small on that car. That being said, after looking at my car, I believe they will fit. The offset should be the same as the stock wheel, unless you were interested in changing the track width.
  17. I agree pjrocco. It may not be that hard to access yourself. Some cars are super easy. I would imagine the Linc is not. A little research and some deft fingers may save you the money though. Happy to help you out Jim!
  18. Talked with my bro. The product was a Victor Pestchaser. He got it at Walmart for $20. Sorry to be so graphic. If you saw what I've pulled out of people's dashes, you would understand my concern.
  19. I'm kind of a neat freak myself, so I would have it cleaned if it was my car. Knowing mouse debris was circulating in my HVAC system would drive me crazy. I have heard of ways to help prevent rodent invasion in automobiles, my brother lives on a farm and has a limited edition Bullitt Mustang that the mice adore as much as he does. He found a device that emits a high pitched sound frequency that is supposed to drive them away, but is inaudible to humans. He believes it worked.
  20. As a former auto tech, I've seen this many times. The blower motor and housing almost certainly have debris from the nest. If any of this debris is stuck to the fan blades it will cause the fan to run in an unbalanced condition creating a louder than normal whirring or spinning noise. The fan's cylindrical shape is almost guaranteed to catch any large debris moving through the system as well.
  21. There is a valet setting you can enable for specific Mykeys. It prevents abuse by valets, mechanics, your children ECT. I believe these settings can be accessed through the dash options.
