On my 2012 MKZ I used the lay on the floor method. There was a barely visible sticker above a bundle of wires to the left (as looking up at it) of the steering column. I used a compact mirror of my wife's to view it. The 5 digit number ended with an "L" making for 6 characters. Drop the "L" and the code worked. Thanks for the information all...
