Good to know but I'll continue to use rain x as per their direction. In short I still have the original blades on this vehicle (now 112,000 miles and 5 years old) and through all the snow, ice and bad weather they still work like new.

Sadly, I've reached 112,000 miles on my 2016 mkz with no major issues but my bride and I have decided we need a bigger vehicle due to upcoming retirement. Our average maintenance cost per year was 611.00 dollars including brake work and tire changes! I will miss my 2016 mkzh for its comfort, looks and the fun it's brought to me every moment I've been driving it. My son brought my 2012 from me in 2016 and again no major issues ongoing over 165k. I hope I'll be just as happy with my new loaded 2020 titanium escape hybrid being delivered to me tomorrow. Thank you all for sharing on this amazing vehicle!

Yes Like you've mentioned, a garaged vehicle definitely extends wiper blade life. What I have been using for many years and is effective for much much longer wiper blade life (I mean years longer) is to treat windshield with rain-x liquid. The chemical combination on the rubber combined with less dirt and debris on windshield makes for safer driving as well.And one bottle will last you a long time.

Yes I agree the Santa Fe is roomier and doesn't feel snug like the Escape,but due to my wife's driving style(very close to steering wheel) the Escape will fit our needs.Everyone I know who has the Santa Fe loves it and won't give it up!

2016 mkzh just broke 100k,average mpg 42.4mpg with 2 different drivers, car still runs like brand new.Used only 87 octane.Just had to get 3rd set of tires 2k ago

Good luck with your new hyundai! I'm hoping that by 2021 and a half the Ford Escape Hybrid will be my choice since most less savvy buyers will be flocking to the plug-in Escape, causing less demand for the Hybrid and me saving more $$$$! ?

Just broke 100k few weeks ago,average mpg 42.4 , curious as to what other cars mpg was at 100k

Presently my 2016 lincoln mkz is my 2nd lincoln hybrid I've owned new. This is only vehicle I own, so wife and I put alot of miles on it. Present mileage at 96,458 miles, my average MPG is 42.4! Hoping to reach 42.5 MPG by 100k, well over lincolns suggested MPG

Was brought brand new, unfortunately this may end up being a bigger problem for Ford/Lincoln if 1000s of cars out there(which could include other models) have this same issue. I don't see how this could have been unintentional ?

I'm just wondering WHY ford/ lincoln is putting in a 30% smaller rated amp battery in than what the book spec calls for, sounds like a BIG money maker for them all around!!!. Please see my remarks under mkz lounge.

My 2016 mkzh has a original battery with part number BXT-99RT4, (470 amps). My book lists the battery as BAGM-48H6-760 (760 amps). BIG DIFFERENCE AMP WISE! Today,24 jan,I just took actual measurements of the battery base holder, and yes,the battery listed in the OM will not fit,so yes,it seems to be a mistake on lincolns printing in the OM,and the BXT-99RT4 is the correct fitting battery. Have most of you lincoln owners that brought brand new realized that you have a battery that's rated below what the vehicles book recommends as a replacement?? If so, I feel Ford/Lincoln is knowingly short changing us owners out of batteries meant to last longer,and forcing us to bear the costs of a newer battery sooner than if they had installed the CORRECT battery in the first place! Any thoughts on this???

I've noticed when I use eco mode the car seems to want to go in the 'ev' mode sooner and more frequent than non eco mode while sacrificing car pickup ( ie acceleration)

I own 2016 mkz hybrid, brought brand new,always changed my oil since 30k miles and added tufoil,now 78k miles and with 8 round trips from NY to Florida/Georgia at speeds up to 75-ish (I'm no slow poke!),using only 87 octane gas, Average TOTAL mpg at 42.0 mpg. My average mpg with my 2012 mkzh before I sold it with same driving pattern and oil changes was 38 mpg.......and I still enjoy and have fun driving my car and always trying to improve my mpgs!

Car ramps are soooo much easier and safer for oil changing than those jacks! And I have my tire center rotate the tires for ten bucks!,I believe money well spent for the time I save.
