  1. Has anyone else had an issue with the plastic trim on the windshield, and left/right of the rear glass oxidizing. Im considering painting them. Dealer cost for the rears $280 per side! Windshield pice is not sold seperately.
  2. Ok, I went in to get the Driver Side Temp Blend Control Motor replaced and the Tech stated that it would take 4-5 hrs for approximately $400. I did not have the time so, I recall seeing a video that mentioned if the left side is not cooling it could also be related to low freon not making it to that side of the evaporator. Well, I went to my local WalMart and picked up a can of R134 (Super Tech Premium $35), added approximately 2-3 ounces from the 18oz. can and tada! Cold air from all vents again! I took the $47 part back to the dealer for a full refund.
  3. I'm getting my temperature Blend Control Motor replaced tomorrow (2016MKZ), and it seems as if the dealer gave my the correct part (GS7Z-19E616-B). My left side temp does not blow cold but the right side does. I'll know soon if the repair is correct. Based on what I've seen the Vent Door motor is the one on the right side behind the radio stack to the left of the glovebox. That's the one that controls the upper, mid, lower vent controls. There's videos on youtube and it's been a common Ford issue. There are videos for the Fusion, Edge, and Explorers. The explorer seems to locate them differently.
  4. Okay, so about 14 months ago I met a ridiculous pot hole! It did crack the rim on my 2016 Reserve (19") I managed to find a shop that was able to repair it (arch weld) which held up better than I thought it would. I was returning from a 3000 mile adventure recently and noticed the dreaded low tire pressure warning. 900 miles from home, I stopped by a local discount tire shop and the tech said that no leaks were found. Of course around 80 miles out it happened again. I did use the included green slime tire repair and it slowed the warnings down by approximately 25-30 miles. I knew that my time was up with the 19 wheels because when I initially had the pot hole incident I began searching for a replacement and 19" wheels are few and far between for the most part. I did shell out $425 for one from an e-bay dealer and what do you know was cracked too. They promptly refunded my money. So, I've opted for the ever popular 18" which offer plenty of style options at a reasonable choice. I also mated the wheels with a set of Toyo Extensa HP II (225/50-18) and they seem to offer a softer and quieter ride, and are a wlecome to change to the classic silver that seem to be on 90% of most cars. The speedometer/GPS are in sync as well with the new size! Here are the results.
  5. Well I had my polished 19" wheel repaired/welded back together and it lasted approximately 16 months! During a recent 1500 mile road trip I started experiencing a leak from the weld. When looking for a replacement not only is this size few and far in between, but the prices seem to be a bit high when compaired to the 18" wheels. I'm now seriously considering stepping down to 18" wheels. Not only will I get slightly improved gas milage, but also a style selection from which to choose.
  6. From Black 2014 3.7 to a Platinum White 2016 2.0H (reserve)...What an upgrade. Just wish it had Sync3 to really top it off.

Windows tinted...A few chrome pieces and wheels are coming soon :-)
  9. I'd remove the BMW 3 it's too small and has that small car feel for a continuous sport mode. I've owned a couple.
